Drie slaapkamers met queensize bed, tweepersoons slaapbank + loft met stapelbed, 2. 5 baden

Prachtige zonsondergangen wachten op Lake of Egypt. Uitzicht vanuit alle kamers, het dek, de patio en een eigen aanlegsteiger. De woning ligt direct aan het water, in een rustige baai, vlak bij het belangrijkste skigebied. Het beschikt over drie slaapkamers, een zolder met stapelbedden en twee volledige badkamers, plus een half bad. Een grote woonkamer heeft een tweepersoons slaapbank en een prachtig uitzicht op het meer. De moderne keuken heeft granieten werkbladen, groot eiland en alle apparatuur. Het dek heeft een terras tafel en grill voor uw gebruik. Er zijn twee sit-on-top kajaks aanwezig.

Het hoogste niveau beschikt over een open plattegrond met een woonkamer, vernieuwde keuken, eetkamer en half bad. Het bovendek bevindt zich naast de keuken / eetkamer. Lager niveau beschikt over een grote slaapkamer met een zithoek. Master Bath gelegen naast de slaapkamer beschikt over een grote douche en een tuin bad. Twee extra koningin slaapkamers en complete badkamer zijn ook op dit niveau. Alle badkamers zijn onlangs gerenoveerd. Wasmachine en droger (nieuw juni 2017) bevinden zich naast slaapkamers. Alle slaapkamers hebben arcadia deuren met een prachtig uitzicht op het meer. The Loft:

toegankelijk via een decoratieve ladder, heeft stapelbedden met twee aparte bedden. De eigenschap krijgt zijn naam "The Lookout at the Lake" van het hok gebied dat een prachtig uitzicht biedt. De keuken:

is voorzien van gasfornuis, vuilophaal, vaatwasser (nieuw in juni 2017), magnetron, keurig enkel kopje en normaal koffiezetapparaat, schalen, potten en pannen en standaard keukengerei. Het meer:

Lake of Egypt is geweldig om te vissen, pak je paal en vis direct langs de kustlijn. Als u uw boot meeneemt, mag u aanhangwagens lanceren en parkeren bij een van de drie lokale jachthavens: Pyramid Marina, Mack's Lake of Egypt Marina of Egyptian Hills Marina. Boten kunnen worden gehuurd bij Mack's of Egyptian Hills Marina. Aas en tackle kunnen worden gekocht bij Just Add Water. Het gebied:

We zijn niet alleen gelegen aan het prachtige meer van Egypte, maar ook op korte rijafstand van de Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, Ferne Cliffe State Park, Giant City State Park en Shawnee National Forest.

Quiet time

Weather was not good - rained 2 out of the 3 days. Overcast the rest of the time. But we had a good time catching up with friends. Wish you can leave some coat hangers in the guest room. Otherwise everything was great!

The house and location to the water were great. The stairs to the loft are an accident waiting to happen in my opinion. We had the kids sleep on the couch and floor in the living room instead. The kayaks were enjoyed by everyone.

Perfect Birthday Weekend on the Lake!

We rented the lake house to have a space for me, my husband, and our friends to celebrate my birthday. My 6yo LOVED the bunk beds up in the loft area and we all appreciated the kayaks that were available to us! House was nice a clean and had essentially anything we needed when it came to appliances, dishes, and cookware. Upon arrival we did learn that the spray hose in the kitchen sink was stuck and spayed anytime we turned the water on. I immediately reach out that evening via email and Allison responded via text the next morning and the handyman was there by 9:30 to replace the spray nozzle! We did have a full house. We initially intended for an adult to sleep up in the loft, but it wasnt as comfortable for them to move up abd down the ladder to get to it, so I definitely recommend no more than 8 adults, unless your cool with climbing up and down a ladder at night to go to the bathroom. It was only a 8 minute drive to Pyramid Acres marina where we rented a pontoon from. It was fairly easy docking the boat at the house, just be mindful of the weeds. Also, the dock is maybe 4.5 - 5 ft deep with some big rocks below and around it. So be cautious when jumoing or diving off the dock. Overall, it was the perfect family and friend space for what we needed and i'm sure we'll be back!

Amazing lakefront property

The home is even better than described. So many thoughtful details!! The use of the kayaks, paddle boards, and inflatables made our trip extra fun. We roasted marshmallows and told stories by the fire. State parks are just minutes away with wonderful hiking trails. Do not stress about booking here. Host is amazing and we will for sure return next summer.

Annual Family Lake Trip

We traveled from Georgia to Lake of Egypt for our family’s summer lake trip. The lake was beautiful!! We rented a boat from the local marina and were able to keep it right at the dock. Few hiccups in our stay…The information guide that the property management company sent listed the house as having a basement rec room w/ an extra kitchen which is a mistake and is a picture from another house. The house was spacious enough for our 7 family members (all adults) and While I understand that its just a “lake house” and that is where older furniture may be sent for its remaining days, it is time to replace the carpet upstairs and get new family room furniture if you want people to pay what you are asking for a week’s stay. I also had to clean out the pantry before being able to use it (cleaning team issue?) because it was full of debris from previous renters. I was also disappointed that the big water matt for the lake was ripped upon our arrival. There was an issue with the stove popping the curcuit breaker switch but the owner came out and said it was fine. We did enjoy our vacation time together and hope to visit the area again some day.

Work Retreat

Great stay!

The location was perfect, it was quiet, relaxing, and beautiful. It was nice to be on the lake in a quiet neighborhood. The home was clean and just as advertised. It was perfect for relaxing and cooking after a couple of hikes to see the fall leaves in the forest. We did have an issue with getting the wifi to work, but a quick phone call to Allison and we had it working in less than a minute. Management was very responsive. Also, the guidebook they email you was the best I’ve seen in any of the hiking trips we’ve taken. We weren’t hear to get on the lake, but there was a variety of kayaks and the like for those who might want to do that. I recommend this property strongly.

Christmas gathering at the lake

We very much enjoyed our stay at Lookout on the Lake. There were 4 Boomers, 4 Millennials, and 2 toddlers in our group. The 3 queen bedrooms worked well for us, and the odd couple out used the loft to store their stuff and the foldout sofa in the living room for their bed. The open floor plan allowed us to keep an eye on the grandchildren even if we were in the kitchen. We enjoyed a fire in the firepit one pleasant evening - enough firewood had been left that we didn't need to buy any. The views of the lake are superb. Two of our brave folks even went out on the kayaks one of the warmer days. We found some great playgrounds in both Marion and Carbondale that the adults and little ones all enjoyed. One caution about the deck - the railing uprights are too far apart, so small children could fall through if not held by the adults. We brought our own outlet plugs and cabinet door protectors - found that Scrunchis worked just fine to keep curious kids out of the cookware. There was even one babygate in the garage that we set up at the top of the stairs to prevent accidental tumbles. The DirectTV system had way more viewing options than we had expected. Having a large washer/dryer also helped cut down on loads, since we could combine loads from different families. This house was a great space for us and provided what we needed for a long overdue family reunion.
