'What a beautiful property! Communication with the owner was fantastic. We rented the three casitas on the property and all were perfect for our group. The grounds and pool were immaculate. The wildlife was abundant with sloths, parrots, toucans, capuchin monkeys, howlers and more. Cesar and Maribel were there for all of our needs and made us feel safe. Would highly recommend for sure!'

'This property is a doorway to nature's paradise. Being set in jungle with an open living theme there is nothing to not love about Congo bongo. The cry of howler monkeys at 4am followed by the jungle waking up to the evening cry of the toucan nature is all around. The ambience is complimented by the warmth and friendliness of the people who call this place home.'

'This was a nice place to stay and was close to everything without being in the middle of it. Lots of restaurants walking distance and in between 2 towns if you need to get something. The beach is directly across the street. This street is the only road on this coast so it can get a little busy/noisy. House only holds 4 at most but if you had a few friends staying around this would be a great place to meet up cook meals and walk to the beach. Biggest drawback is no A/C so if your not use to...

'Quiet, secluded cottage with great yard on the beach. Many good restaurants, shops, groceries nearby. Easy access to other great beaches, a national park and wildlife nature preserve. Liked watching the leaf cutting ants and observing green and blue black spotted little poison dart frogs along with other wildlife in the back yard.'

'The property is amazing! It’s small and quaint. We stayed in a bungalow which also offered needed privacy given the trees surrounding the unit. The food was excellent (the free breakfast was a nice additur) and the service attentive. They went out of their way to assist us with our needs. It is in the heart to Puerto Viejo’s downtown area so close to everything - restaurants, shopping, and La Playa Negra (black beach). The only negative was the cleaning lady’s use of water apparently drenched...
