'I love the location, all you have to do is walk across the street and you are at the beach. I selected the room with a beach view. It was nice sitting on the balcony and watching the sunsets. They do offer a breakfast, but the items are limited. The property is also within walking distance to the village with shops and restaurants. 'We had an enjoyable one night stay here. Just a few minutes drive to the beach, downtown, restaurants, and shops. The place was clean, felt safe, and the staff was friendly and let us check in early. With the fan on at night, we slept well, the sounds of traffic being blocked out.'

'I understand this is a modest beachside property and that the location across from the beach in Carlsbad naturally comes with higher rates. 'Had room 117 which was handicapped amenities. Step in shower allowed water to drain onto smooth floor . Very slippery..no anti skid material or pad on floor..very dangerous for handicapped guests. OSHA would not have approved this room for handicapped guests. Shower curtain allowed water to spill onto floor. Reported issue to desk.Recommend non skid floor mats or safety strips on floor .'

'You can feel doors closing from other rooms while you are in your room and it shakes the room, walls are thin. Room overall was clean beds were ok and pool was clean. Breakfast was overall good, but everything wasn’t getting stocked and when we asked the staff they scoffed on the first morning there but there was no coffee at all, no cereal no milk. If these things don’t bother you I would say the room itself was good, and that’s what you get for a budget hotel.'

'I love this property I've stayed there very often. This time however I had a hiccup because I thought that the breakfast should go until 10:00 and it stopped at 9:00 a.m.. I think that's a little unreasonable. Especially for people on vacation.'
