Echt Schots overnachten!
De netheid en service waren erg goed. Hier voel je je echt in Schotland. Jammer van de douche buiten de kamerdeur van de familiekamer. Altijd een sleutel meenemen. Een moeilijk mengbare kraan in bad, heel heet en heel koud water, waardoor ik niet goed mijn haar kon wassen. De locatie was erg mooi.

Excellent country hotel in a very quiet location, hosts Steve and Tracy made us feel very welcome, we were in room 1 which was just perfect with an en suite that was a good size and immaculate, breakfast was 10/10. Would definitely stay here agin.

Had a lovely overnight stay on the journey from Edinburgh to Isle of Skye. Excellent connected walking paths wind around starting with the Riverwalk path just a short stroll down the lane from the inn/lodge. Stay includes an exemplary breakfast with options for all tastes, custom made to order by the friendly host. Breakfast was served overlooking the grounds where baby rabbits grazed peacefully.

A+ hospitality! Steve and Tracey are extremely gracious hosts and very helpful! The breakfast was outstanding and made to order and served at a scheduled time. Very convenient! The setting is beautiful and the historic building intriguing. It’s a short drive to Culloden Battlefield and Clava Cairns and just a bit further to Glenlivet Distillery.

Despite unfortunate and unforeseen events that rendered our confirmed room unavailable, our hosts made us feel welcome though we were early, and well looked after as they rearranged an otherwise full house to accommodate us. A gracious invitation to sample their splendid whiskey selection by way of compensation sealed the deal for us. A pleasant evening enjoying a game of Trivia at a nearby pub along with a delectable meal, was followed by a comfortable night in a lovely room. A full Scottish breakfast the next morning was the perfect way to begin our journey through the Cairngorms National Park. Thanks to our hosts and their warm hospitality, I cannot recommend Dalrachney Lodge Hotel more highly.

We had a wonderful stay at Dalrachney Lodge. The owners (Tracy and Steve) were fabulous hosts and made us feel so welcome. This is a great stay for groups too and is a convenient location to tour the Highlands, Cairngorms, Inverness, Culloden, and Speyside distilleries. Top notch stay!

Book it, you won’t be disappointed

Classy old Manor
Dalrachney is a grand old house which has been remodeled to a hotel. The innkeeper, Gordon is a classy English gentleman who met us and even had a drink with us in the restaurant and told us good stories. The drawing room (see photo) is charming and quiet and overlooks a lovely large green lawn. A river passes right by the property.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay in our Four Poster room and the freshly cooked breakfast in the Dining Room that overlooks the grounds. We have renovated 13 out of 15 bathrooms and the room you were in is next on the list. However photos of all the rooms and bathrooms are shown online so you could have chosen one with a new bathroom.

Great spot near the river and with a big lawn. It was an old hunting lodge so nice front hall and rooms to relax in on main floor. Our room was great with a modern bathroom that had a great shower. Lovely breakfast.

Very enjoyable short break.
Second visit. A few days of luxury. Wonderful well maintained old hunting lodge. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Food from Fortnam and Masons as well as local produce. Smoked salmon with scrambled eggs one of the options for breakfast. Optional dinner requires booking. Again you get what you pay for. Superb quality and no short measures. Very enjoyable stay and we will be back next year.

Step back in time into an Edwardian hunting lodge
Lovely large room overlooking garden and valley, very peaceful. Lounge and dining room are very comfortable in Scottish design, a bit like a college common room, to take sherry in before dinner. Superb dinner for a special birthday celebration. Friendly dog, Archie, fits the ambience.

Bra service och frukost
Lugnt och skönt. Bra parkering. Trevlig personal som tar han om gästerna. Fin natur runt Hotellet. Väldigt fin mat av hög kvalitet till ett något dyrare pris. Till frukost ingick fler tillagade alternativt också av hög kvalitet.

Beautiful setting by the river- nice to hear it as you drift off to sleep in the large comfy bed. Delicious breakfast. Was lovely to walk to the village and hear the piper on the old bridge. Lovely welcome from Archie the spaniel too!

Happiness in the Highlands
The beauty and comfort of this hotel made my vacation more memorable. The premiere room had every convenience I was looking for: an electric kettle, cable tv, blackout curtains, a modern shower, and an extra large bathroom. I loved the secluded location. I could watch the sunrise over Cairngorms National Park from a window in our premiere room, and we enjoyed the sounds of birds and rippling water from the River Dulnain. Trixie and Gordon provided exceptional service, helping us book a tour and get to the Carrbridge train station on time. I recommend the dinner reservations; it was a great to enjoy a book and a drink in the drawing room before being called in for a fine leg of lamb plate. I still miss starting my morning with the free Scottish breakfast and patting Archie (the hosts' dog) as I pass the check-in desk. I'll be happy to book a stay at Dalrachney again.

The staff is exceptional! Incredibly kind, very helpful. Service is wonderful. If you need anything everyone is more than happy to help you. Food is great, rooms are always cleaned, and the ambiance is perfect!

The Best Hotel in Scotland
It is very rare to stay at a hotel where everything works but this is true of this hotel. It is a beautiful country house hotel furnished with great style. Good and drink was similarly excellent and the room and bed were very comfortable. We were very looked after. To top it all the live in springer spaniel Archie was affectionate without being over boisterous. Thoroughly recommended.

Really loved the town and area. The Lodge was stunning and service was efficient. View from room was peaceful and pretty. Breakfast was very good. Only complaint was no ensuite bathroom for price paid!

Good location not far from the A9 and Aviemore, well presented in a traditional lodge converted to a well maintained hotel. Absolutely spotless friendly welcoming staff great food in the restaurant and a lovely breakfast would definitely visit again.

Peace and relax in a beautiful country house
The hotel is a beautiful country house, in which you can enjoy the authentic atmosphere of Scotland. It is situated in the lovely town of Carrbridge, in the heart of the Inverness shire, near many points of interest (car recommended). Our room was spacious and very clean, with a recently renowed bathroom. We had two dinner: with very high quality products in traditional dish, we enjoyed everything very much, also for the attention and kindness of the host and entire hotel staff about our specific requests and food intolerance. The drinks in the beautiful living room completed admirably our nights. We truly recommend the Dalrachney Lodge Hotel for its warm, elegant and refined atmosphere.
