Historic stay
This hotel is situated in the histroric part of Castelvetro di Modena. There is a large, public parking (free) about 200m away from the hotel but nothing stops you from parking in front of the hotel first to unload your bags. Rooms are spacious, old style and very comfortable. The restaurant is nice but expensive and you have to understand Italian quite well, to be able to read the menue. Breakfast is extensive for Italian hotels with the option of a fried egg or omelette at no extra charge. I would recommend this hotel more for couples than for business men. In summer time this historic area is certain to be beautiful with several open air dining possibilities near by.

Lati positivi: Gestori gentilissimi. Colazione buona e fornita, nonostante fossimo gli ultimi. Lati negativi: Essendo sensibile ai rumori, sono stato svegliato da ospiti più mattinieri (nonostante i tappi per le orecchie). Forse questo non succede se si alloggia all'ultimo piano (noi eravamo al primo). L'ammodernamento della struttura storica risulta a tratti un po' freddo, in particolare la stanza da letto con le pareti color grigio chiaro illuminate da applique con LED un po' "freddi" (caldi se misurati in gradi Kelvin). Ma questa può essere una caratteristica specifica della nostra suite (la "girasole"), e potrebbe anche essere stata già corretta in base al mio feedback sul posto.

Perfect place to stay in the charming village of Castelvetro. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and gave us great advice on the local area, parking was a short walk away, and the food at the restaurant was amazing - one of the best dinners we had in Italy. We had debated about staying the weekend here or in Modena and are so glad we chose here.

This Hotel is absolutely stunning. Andrea and Roberto are running this hotel and restaurante to a star in guide Michelin! We have returned about ten times and always excellent and outstanding in all perpectives!

Fine hotel
The staff was extremely friendly. The hotels rooms are big and nice. It has a good location in the small town. Good place to stay to have a base to explore Modena. The only negative things I have to say is that the WiFi didn’t work and the pressure of the water in the shower is very low.

Wonderful stay at Locanda
We only stayed one night but could have stayed longer! The staff was very kind and attentive. The room was beautiful and being within the Borgo was a real pleasure. The room had a refrigerator, couch, and a table and chairs. We did not get to eat at the restaurant but it was highly rated and we would have liked to. Would definitely stay here again.

In house restaurant served brilliantly by chef Roberto and sommelier Andrea. Opportunity to try the local lambrusco grasparossa di castelvetro, available only in that area. Excellent buffet breakfast-love their baba! Small town with surprisingly several restaurants. Location is convenient to explore Modena, Ferrari/Maserati etc collection. Parking is convenient with guest pass from hotel. Hotel can arrange a visit to Hombre farm for local cheese-worth the short trip to the farm and an added bonus of an amazing private collection of Maserati sports cars including ones driven by Sterling Moss.

My husband and I stayed at Locanda Del Fedudo for six nights and it was an amazing experience. Hands down the best customer service either of us have ever experienced. Throughout our stay, the AMAZING staff was always available to happily help us with anything at any time of night or day. If someone were to ask us to put together a list (people love lists) of once-in-a-lifetime meals that we’d like to eat many, many times in our lifetimes, the Locanda Del Feudo’s restaurant would be the top. Excellent wine list as well. A wonderful MUST TO GO place, for experiencing an unforgettable and very special staying

We stayed for 3 nights and very much enjoyed our stay. What made the main difference, other than the accommodations themselves, were our hosts, Andrea and the chef, Ricardo. They were so hospitable and the family environment was classic.

We enjoyed our stay is this lovely friendly boutique hotel. The owners were very helpful in answering any of our questions and we enjoyed the dinners in the restaurant. Parking was also easy. Happy to recommend this hotel.

i stayed here with my spouse and another couple. we booked 2 apartments, each appt has a living room, a bedroom and a batgroom. the hotel is small in the historical center which is so beautiful

Just perfect....
Fantastic hotel in a wonderful location. Perfect for exploring the region and visiting nearby cities such as Bologna, Palma and Modena and also discovering what the area has to offer. A visit to nearby Ferrari and Lamborghini museum is a must and also to Pavarotti's museum, all within driving distance. Cannot rate our stay highly enough and owners are extremely helpful in making suggestions for you to visit during your stay, nothing is too much trouble. The location and hotel can't be beat and would highly recommend to anyone wishing a true taste of Italy.

A little gem, just a few km from Modena or BLQ.
Italian hospitality at its best. Staff (owners??) so friendly & helpful. Sadly the restaurant was closed the night of our stay (a Monday). Room/suite was worth every €; plenty of space and crisp, freshly laundered linen. Breakfast pretty good, too.

Cet hôtel est en tout points un des meilleurs endroits où nous avons logé. Situé sur une colline dans un château médiéval, charme assuré, belles grandes suites très bien équipées et propres, personnel très attentionné et nourriture variée et de très haute qualité. J'y retournerai avec plaisir.
