'Had a great time. I enjoyed the hotel very much. Nice staff,very helpfull,polite. Clean room,comfortable bed. I recommend this hotel for business trips,but also for sightseeing and making trips to other cities. Good connection with the bus to Castleford train station. Shops in the area and junction 32 outlet shopping including cinema and multiple restaurants. Also parks and nature in the area for nice walks. Thank you for the nice stay'

'Very warm welcome. Very clean and well equipped room. Very comfortable bed with nice clean bedding. Excellent breakfast with good choice of food.. My wife is vegetarian and this was catered for with a very helpful manner. We would happily use this hotel again.'

'An enjoyable one night stay at a hotel where the positive features far outweigh any minor niggles. Attentive and pleasant staff, excellent food, well presented and served in a timely manner. Rooms just bordering on the need for some love and attention, although White Stuff toiletries do a good job in diverting attention from the nasty stain on one of the seats. Decent enough spa facilities, although it would be helpful if the price to swim were included in the booking price.'

'I don’t usually post negative comments but feel on this occasion it’s require based on the room rate. Our room including bathroom was slightly tired and is in need of a refreshment and lacked your normal toiletries for this level of hotel. The mini fridge compressors was very loud and as such led to both nights of poor sleep, not ideal when you book a weekend away to recover. However, the main building was very beautiful and had a nice lounge to relax in the evening.'

'The room itself was ok. Strange unpleasant food smells emanating from bathroom. Check in was well explained but tricky getting code on lock box outside in the dark. Relieved to be staying only one night and would not rebook'

'Good central location. We were shocked by the state of the entrance to the apartments from the street, not a good first impression. No lift so had to climb three floors of stairs with luggage but did have help offered to us which was nice. The apartment was small, darkly decorated in grey and quite disappointing. Some things missing in the kitchenette (no forks) and a broken glass so left a note. It was clean though and had a comfy bed. Furniture damaged and bedside light not working. Didn't...

'Note the hotel is surrounded by bars open until 4am and 6am and if your room is facing out on to the main road you might be in for a very sleepless night. The hotel have very little empathy, just along the lines of what do you expect, its in a city centre hotel,.thats the general attitude. Also outright lied and said they offered an alternative room which when i asked at reception was actually told an outtright "no we are fully booked but there are earplugs provided in your room". Such a shame...
