'+++ Absolutely magnificent place with a wonderful history. The wooden features are beautiful and the bedrooms are outstanding. Wonderful snooker table and fireplaces. Lovely garden where you can sit and enjoy afternoon tea. The staff, especially Sameera, were absolutely excellent- they couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you again Sameera, we will hopefully see you again one day!

'The Grand Argyle Resort & Villas was a beautiful location. Our room was very clean and spacious. The food was excellent and the staff were extremely kind and accommodating. There was a pool table located upstairs and an outdoor pool, however, it was not clean enough to enter. We did enjoy walking around the property and site seeing. The area offers spectacular views! I would recommend this hotel to others! '

After a mic-up between the hotel and hotels.com, I was repeatedly threatened with legal action, and the hotel was in general not interested in resolving the issue - refused to pick up the phone and refused to access hotels.com. Terrible, terrible treatment of customers, and horrendous attitude. '

'Dirty beds, bedsheets and bathroom. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody. Bathroom was leaking and dirty with spiders and spiderwebs. Room is like a jail, no windows. It was a horrible experience. I advise travellers to stay at Hatton and travel to Nallandeniya on time to clime Adam's peak.'
