Summary:
Of all our properties in Lake Arrowhead, this one will be your favorite. The interior is rustic and cozy, while the towering trees outside are awe inspiring. Mother Nature kindly put a running creek next door (open your windows at night to fall asleep to that music), and we simply added the hot tub under string lights, and a fire pit just off your front porch. Kids and adults alike will fall in love with everything a mountain getaway is meant to be!

The Space:
The newly renovated cabin was designed to feel rustic and moody, and furnished with wooly seating, fuzzy throws, and warm lighting to give all the cozy vibes. You'll fall in love with all the natural light that pours in through the huge windows (and then count all the sky lights we added as if the windows weren't enough!).

In the living room, you'll enjoy the best of "old" and "new" as you light the wood burning stove fireplace and turn on the big screen Frame tv. Dinner will feel "family style" with the dining table in the kitchen... or better yet, eat out on the deck above the creek, or under the tower trees on the upper terrace. You'll have a hard time deciding what outdoor space you enjoy the most, but make sure to flip on all the string lights so the whole forest becomes your living room at night. Come back in through the mud room, where your coat and boots have their own place to stay warm.

On the main level you'll find the primary bedroom, with a king bed and its own dedicated full bathroom. The vaulted ceiling and a-frame windows makes the room feel open and airy. Up the spiral staircase you'll find twin bedrooms on either side of the landing, with a "jack 'n jill" bathroom and closet adjoining them. We outfitted these rooms with your kids in mind... plenty of toys, dolls, books, games, and even a big A-frame tent to keep them busy (assuming they ever come in from playing outdoors). Up the stairs to the third level you'll find the most romantic tiny-room with a queen bed under the stars. We added 6 skylights in this room alone so you can fall asleep under the moonlight (or pull the black out blinds if that's more your style!). We then added twinkle lights on the beams to ensure it's magical.

You'll likely say it was your best sleep ever since we splurged on the world's best mattresses by Cariloha (you'll want the discount code for that or the sheets, which gets you 20% off everything! Guests rave to us weekly about them).

We wanted one more hang out space, so we added a sofa, table, wall games, tv, and ping pong to the garage. It's 3 cars deep, so there's room for both a car and a friendly (or very competitive) game of ping pong.

Book your trip to Orchard Creek... and you might as well book your return visit as well, since I already know you'll be ready to come again :)

Guest Access:
**Lake Access: All our guests are welcome to use our lake passes for accessing the lake trails! We have recommendations on the best places to swim or relax on the sand.**

The Neighborhood:
We're a 3 minute walk to Orchard Bay where you can swim, skip rocks, or set out on the lake trail towards the Village (a short walk beyond that). Walk uphill on our street and you'll drop down on the Cedar Glenn Jensen's (it's small but still a full grocery store). The deli at Jensen's boast some amazing sandwiches so lunch is always easy! You'll love eating any time of day at Jetties in the Village, with 180 lake views from anywhere you sit. Grab ice cream for you and duck food for our feathered friends, as you all watch boats go by.

Getting Around:
In the warm months, get out on the lake with our friends at Mackenzie Ski School. Enjoy walking around the Lake Arrowhead Village, where kids feed ducks and run around on the grass of waterfront park. SkyPark at Santa's Village is always a hit year round with fun outdoor activities for all ages. Take a picnic to MacKay Park overlooking the lake, or enjoy the beauty of Dogwood trails. Half day visits to Lake Gregory or Green Valley Lake are also highly recommended.
In winter months, come up for snow sports! We're exactly half hour drive to Snow Valley Ski Resort, 20 minutes to the Snowdrift tubing park, and 3 minutes to a great sledding area (yup, we provide you sleds!). And with all the outdoor space at Orchard Creek Cabin, you'll hardly have to leave the property to get your fill of snow play!

Other Things to Note:
While the primary bedroom and bathroom, kitchen and living room, are indeed on the main floor, there is one flight of stairs from the garage or street to get to the main level.

The house sits on a property adjacent to open forest land which is private. Guests are asked not to explore this private property or allow dogs to roam it.

Cancellation Policy: Guests may cancel their reservation free of charge up to 30 days before the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations made 30 days or more in advance will receive a full refund of the total booking amount.
