    De setting van The Moorings is echt heel bijzonder en biedt een adembenemend uitzicht op zee van Cemaes Bay naar het land van de National Trust.

    Ongeacht de tijd van het jaar biedt dit prachtige pand een uitzonderlijk uitzicht op de haven en de Cemaes-baai vanuit de serre, de woonkamer en twee van de slaapkamers.

    Cemaes is een klein vissersdorpje met kleurrijke huizen, winkels (postkantoor, apotheek, dorpswinkels), pubs, cafés en een dokterspraktijk. Het is gelegen aan de noordkust van Anglesey en is een goed startpunt voor wandelingen langs de kust en vogels kijken. Er is een natuurreservaat een paar mijl verderop in Cemlyn dat bekend staat om zijn vogelspotten en Church Bay verder langs de kust heeft een prachtig strand met bistro's die lokaal gevangen kreeft en krab serveren.

    Aan de oostkant van het dorp is een breed, vlak zandstrand waar u heerlijk kunt zonnen, zwemmen en watersporten.

    Dit appartement is geschikt voor maximaal 9 personen, boek in combinatie met The View @ The Moorings voor een gezelschap van maximaal 14 personen.



    Eigenschap beschrijving

    Keuken
    De keuken is ruim. Het is goed uitgerust met een kookplaat, vaatwasser, koelkast, vriezer, waterkoker, koffiezetapparaat, broodrooster, magnetron, wasmachine en wasdroger.

    Wrap Around Sun Room
    Een lange houten tafel in de ruime eetkamer waar panoramische ramen een prachtig uitzicht bieden op de zee en de baai. Er is ook een comfortabele zithoek, een rieten tweezitsbank, twee enkele stoelen en een bank - geweldig om te genieten van een kopje koffie in de ochtend terwijl u het tij ziet komen en gaan!

    Lounge
    De lichte en luchtige, goed geproportioneerde lounge heeft de originele sierlijke houten open haard met een geïntegreerde houtkachel, perfect om een warme gloed en warmte te geven op een winteravond. Het plafond met witte balken en deuren met glazen panelen geven een gevoel van lichtheid en luchtigheid, versterkt door het spectaculaire uitzicht op zee. Er is een 3-zitsbank, drie fauteuils, een 43 inch tv met Freeview en dvd-speler en een bluetooth speaker. Boeken en dvd's zijn te vinden in de schappen van het dressoir.

    Slaapkamer 1: een eigen badkamer
    King-size bed met nieuwe "Eve" matras en uitzicht op zee over de baai. Het witte balkenplafond geeft veel karakter aan deze tweepersoonsslaapkamer, die ook bijpassende nachtkastjes bevat en een driedubbele kledingkast met planken voor veel opbergruimte. De kleine badkamer (nieuw toegevoegd in 2019) bevat een krachtige douche, verwarmd handdoekenrek en toilet.

    Slaapkamer 2
    Deze slaapkamer bevat twee stapelbedden (1 is een stapelbed met een tweepersoonsbed op de bodem). Er is ook een dubbele kledingkast met lades, nog 2 lades onder de mooie stoel bij het raam met uitzicht op het strand en een paar zitzakken.

    Deze tweepersoonsslaapkamer heeft nachtkastjes en een ladekast in de inbouwkast.

    Een wit betegelde badkamer bevat een groot bad met douche, toilet, wastafel en een verwarmd handdoekenrek.

    Naast de badkamer is een ruime doucheruimte met een inloopdouche, toilet, wastafel en een verwarmd handdoekenrek.

    43 inch tv, Freesat, dvd-speler met selectie van dvd's, Bluetooth-luidspreker en een selectie van spellen en boeken in de lounge en serre (verken de zeekist). Er wordt een verrekijker meegeleverd - misschien ziet u gewoon een zeehond en wordt vogels kijken een gewoonte!

    Een privéterras met tafel en stoelen voor The Moorings is toegankelijk via de serre. De eigenschap heeft het voordeel van een zeer grote tuin met uitzicht op de baai die wordt gedeeld met de bovenwoning.

    Er is nog een terras op de klif - nog een perfecte plek om de ochtendkrant te lezen!

    Stranduitrusting inclusief ligstoelen, krablijnen, emmers en schoppen zijn allemaal beschikbaar in de tuinopslag. Er is een overdekte hangruimte om wetsuits te drogen en waslijn in de tuin.

    Er is off-road parking voor twee voertuigen, met extra gratis parkeerplaatsen op slechts enkele meters naast de zeewering.

    Toegang tot het pand is via trappen, allemaal met leuningen: 4 treden omhoog vanaf de onderste tuinpoort en 11 treden naar beneden vanaf de parkeerplaats. Eenmaal binnen bevindt het appartement zich op een ander niveau dan een trap naar beneden in de serre.

Excellent Stay

This was our second stay at The Moorings, and again we weren't disappointed. The new extended decking area is an excellent space to relax and take in the fantastic view. Overall we would highly recommend The Moorings as a fantastic property to holiday in, and we will be staying again in the future.

Wonderful to look out to sea .The houseneeds some work done as does the garden.The step from the lounge to conservatory is dangerous as it is made of paving stones.The shed for wet suits needs much work as does the outside of it.bedrooms very comfortable.To many steps.

Perfect family base for seaside holiday

What a view, what a location! The whole bay spread out in front of you, so you can keep an eye on kids from the garden or sun room as they explore beaches, rock pools, the huge garden. Just minutes walk from harbour, pub, shop and chippy and a hop over the wall ladder to the beach. Sunshine throughout the day , just choose where you want to soak it up! Lovely variety of sitting and dining areas. Beds good, pillows hard as bricks, 2 showers, and bath, so plenty of space. Kitchen well equipped if tricky to navigate for more than one cook. V useful outdoor shed for wetsuits etc.

Superb property, wonderful view

We had a wonderful four day stay at The Moorings. The property was very clean and probably the best-equipped house we've ever stayed in. The views over the bay are second to none and we loved watching the changing tides. There are superb walks right from the cottage, one of which was the best walk we've ever done. The village has a couple of handy local shops and good pubs and restaurants. I also want to thank the owners who very kindly let us change our dates at the last minute due to a serous family issue. We'll be back!

A great place to relax

Have spent a lovely holiday at The Moorings (ground floor apartment). The location is superb – such a lovely sea view from many of the rooms, especially the dining room and the garden, which is huge. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. Good to have 3 bathrooms. Nice comfy beds. Outside drying room is great place to hang wet suits when children come off the beach. Great customer service from Coastal Holidays. Would thoroughly recommend both them and the property. We’ve already booked to go back next year!

A great stay

The Moorings is a great place to relax and watch the world go by. I could spend hours in the sun room overlooking the bay with that stunning view. The property is spacious, clean and has lots of character. The kitchen is very well equipped. Information provided from the owners in the manual is excellent and very helpful. The Bay itself is quiet but has the basic amenities: a general shop, butchers, pharmacy, pub etc. There's coastal walks right on the doorstep too. We took my 80 yr old dad and I'd say it wasn't really suitable accessibility-wise both in and outside of the property there are a lot of steps, sloping garden and slippery surfaces. Unfortunately two of us fell whilst inside the property. The bathrooms could also do with an update. Other than that it was perfect!

Amazing place to stay!

We stayed at The Moorings as a family of 6 and had an amazing week! The Moorings was exceptionally clean and spacious, views were breathtaking and facilities were plentiful. Ideally located for walks around the bay and we found lots of very quiet beaches long the coastal trails. We greatly enjoyed our stay and definitely will be returning next year!

A Special Place for a Special Birthday

I almost don’t want to post this review as I want to keep The Moorings a secret but that wouldn’t be fair on the owners or prospective clients. The downstairs apartment is large and roomy and the views are to die for. It’s such a relaxing place, you have to drag yourself out, but it’s definitely worthwhile, such a beautiful area. The apartment has everything you need & very clean. Note: there’s an additional 40 min journey when you cross over to the island but it is worth the extra time. We will return.

An idyllic birthday weekend at the Moorings

To celebrate my husband's birthday we booked the Moorings for some of the family and the remainder of our party stayed a sort distance away in a separate property. The location is truly stunning but gaining entry in the dark on the Friday evening proved difficult. There is another door which also has a key safe but this is not in use. I feel it would benefit future guests if this was made clear. The property is extremely spacious with comfortable beds and adequate facilities. The views from the dining room are spectacular. The weather was glorious so we were able to take full advantage of them The kitchen is very well equipped but when we arrived on the Friday evening the dishwasher had not been switched on so we were short of cutlery. We purchases dishwasher tablets from the local shop on Saturday morning. I had to check before arrival if towels were privided which they were but again this could be made clearer. The log burner was wonderful and very easy to use. Firelighters and logs were provided which was a lovely touch. We replaced these before leaving. Overall I would definitely recommend this property and we will hopefully return at some point in the future.

Just returned from a weeks holiday at The Moorings (ground floor apartment). The location is superb - such a lovely sea view from many of the rooms, especially the dining room and the garden, which is huge. We loved the ladder with access to the beach. Bedroom 3 at back is very small but comfy and each bedroom can have a seperate bathroom if needed. We are adventure seeking people and it's brilliant to go cycling, kayaking, swimming, snorkelling, walking, coasteering and sea jumping (If you know what you are doing). It's at the quiet end of the bay but within easy reach of the shops etc.... 5 min walk. If you just want to chill, there are multiple places to do this, like the side decking with great BBQ (please clean for future guests), the gardens, the elevated decking overlooking the bay or the sun room which also has great views around 2 sides of the house,both to the bay. Look, this place could do with a slightly bigger kitchen and more room in 1 bedroom but everything else counts that out. It's brill and we will definately be using it again. The lounge is huge with a lovely old fireplace (Log burner) if needed in the colder months.The owners leave you to it but are always there if something went wrong. Coastal are very good agents as well and keep on top of any enquiries in what has been a difficult year for the travel and holiday industry. The view (Top Flat) which is slightly smaller is also brilliant! You are literally on the edge of the beach. Thanks again.

The Property: A lovely property in a fantastic location overlooking the bay We took the downstairs apartment which offered comfy beds and plenty of room to spread out, with garden to rear and a great little veranda to the side for coffee time or lunch. The lounge area is very cosy with full size TV and and a variety seating Owners provide full kitchen utilities and a washer and dryer. with extremely helpful owners if assistance is ever required., Location: The walks on the cliffside are to die for and there are several decent restaurants close by the 'Gladys', less than a mile away , we found the best quality in terms location atmosphere and food good and the 'Trecastle' in Bull Bay also decent. We did not try the local pub The Stagg, as it was a little too small for social distancing. Last., but not least, we found excellent service from Coastal Holidays. A good time had by all.

Fantastic views and peaceful location

This property was bright and clean and spacious with many pleasant aesthetic touches. The views from many of the rooms as well as from the garden are fantastic. It was wonderful to be able to climb out of the garden over the stile and scramble down the rocks to the sea. With 2 young people suffering badly with CFS/ME we only left Cemaes itself once, and they hardly left the property, but there was still plenty to appreciate and for the healthier members of the family to enjoy too.

The Moorings was a perfect venue for holiday. Its' location is perfect, on the coastal path and overlooking the ever changing scenes of a coastal bay. We four ladies go away each year for a catch up. After our walks we relaxed with books admiring the peaceful outlook. The house is perfectly appointed with every requirement you could think of. There is a good convenience store and a cafe that serves good food. The only down side was that we were only there for 3 days!! As the saying goes 'We will return'
