'This is the most beautiful old hotel right in the old city. I had a little trouble finding it as you have to pass through the barriers to get access to the old city. Looking at Google maps, I mistakenly thought access was on the main road. Hristo, the owner, had registered my car details so I was waved through the barrier with no problem. I arrived 15 minutes after the receptionist was supposed to leave but she waited for me. They've gone to a lot of effort to reflect the character of the old...

'I would never stay at that hotel. The room smelled like sewage. We brought it up to staff and they said that all of the rooms smelled like that.... at one point we were the only ones at the hotel, and now I understand the reason. The staff were very nice, but sleeping with the smell of sewage was a very unpleasant experience. Do not stay at this place.'
