"The absolute highlight is the location. Other strong points were that the apartment was spacious, clean, reasonably soundproof when windows and doors are closed, and it had a good balcony. We also appreciated having a washing machine available, even though we didn’t use it.
The main issue was the temperature inside the apartment. The air conditioning does not actually cool and only blows air, while the central heating cannot be turned off. Sleeping with the windows open was not an option, because noise from people ‘talking’ in the inner courtyard at night is heavily amplified by the building’s structure. As a result, the apartment was too hot to sleep comfortably, even in early May.
The shower screen in the bathtub is also not functional, causing water to flood the bathroom floor after every shower.
Some photos are a bit misleading as well. They show nicely furnished apartments and lovely city views. First: the apartment was practical, but not cosy. Not a place to hang out after a day in the city, let alone for a romantic stay. Also, every lamp gives off bright white office-style lighting. Bring your own lights to create a mood.
Second: the advertised city views are not related to the apartment, although they might have been from the penthouse.
Finally, the oven was not powered and therefore unusable. Cooking equipment in general was very limited. Check before getting groceries to cook."
