'This is a great place to stay. Especially when you stay in one of the rooms on top of the hill. We had room nr 7 and we saw a lot of monkeys in the trees nearby. Our first morning, we woke up at 5 by the noise of howler monkeys! Half an our later we could even see them in the trees after the room! The swimming pool is also a good place to relax and spot wildlife, we saw a lot of kapucijn monkeys and squirl monkeys, and humming birds! 'We stopped in Puntarenas on our way back from the west coast to San Juan. Unless you are curious to see all of Costa Rica, there is not much at all in this area. It's a filthy, poor area with little to offer, even though it is so close to the beach. The hotel is kind of old and tired with an unclean looking pool. Food is mediocre at best. We had a suite in the newly build tower, supposedly with a view over the marina. No view unless you stand on the balcony. We asked for a different room but got...
