'Perhaps the rating of the hotel is not fair. I am actually quite upset at Hotels.com for letting me book this hotel when I couldn't even check in as a foreigner. I didn't get to the hotel till after dinner only to find out I couldn't check in. It was extremely inconvenient for my family. I am considering giving up my use of hotels.com for not providing this information, or knowing it'

'On the plus side the staff were very helpful and friendly despite not speaking any English - we got by with a translation app. The room was big, had its own indoor and outdoor balcony, a great view of the lake and a roll top bath next to a huge window looking out on the lake. Really handy place to stay if you are going to Qilu University of Technology as it is quite far out of Jinan. As a resort the facilities looked good but I didn't have a chance to use any. On the downside there was no WiFi...
