Trivsamt men lite slitet lägenhetsboende
Detta är inget hotell utan man hyr en lägenhet. Lakan o handdukar ingår men inget annat. Man får bädda själv, vilket inte är något problem men inget vi visste om. Ta med tvål,toapapper, diskmedel både till maskin och handdisk. Köket fungerar bra att fixa frukost o enklare rätter. Liten ugn finns, ingen micro. Möbler behöver en uppdatering, rätt gamla. Pool ur funktion under vår vistelse. Synd! Städning sköter man själv på hemresedagen. Trevligt ändå och bra läge nära skidbuss och lite mataffär och restauranger.

it was not clean when we received it. there was no wifi anywhere in the hotel, the pool was not working. there were no lights or fire or warm feelings in the lobby. overall it was fine but i was not up to our expectations.

Beautiful lodging in the mountains
This place was beautiful but the pool was closed for repair. Not really a hotel as it was bare bones. No soap/hair dryer etc. There is a kitchen which was moderately equipped. We loved the area and the location of the hotel. The train and bus stop were right in front of the hotel. We were required to clean before we left and pull the linens. Not a problem, but not truly a hotel. Very Austrian decor. Super cozy. Amazing views

Good location for the lifts and town centre but shabby and rather dusty. The staff were friendly but the place is in need of updating and the pool was out of commission for the whole winter.

Note: swimming pool is out of service and there is no internet in the rooms. Very disappointing to find this out on arrival. The kids were very disappointed. The place is well located and has some charme. Yet, appartments kind of small, and can use some refurbishment. Overall a lot less fancy than on the photos. I guess ok for the money

We have been staying here for many years now because we like the location, the quietness and character of the apartments. The staff are always helpful and they were especially so when we were trying to trace our lost skis. However, we found the apartment we were allocated a bit cold. We were loaned a heater which helped.

The location is ideal. Checking in and out is a bit frustrating. You have to make an appointment to check out (for inspection) and no early checkin. Not even 30 minutes. Understand that you have to provide your own housekeeping. Make the beds, strip the beds, clean bathroom (toilet, tub/shower, sink), sweep, mop and vacuum. Provide your own soaps/cleaning etc. pool was under renovation so I don’t have that experience. Sauna costs extra have no idea if that was open or closed. Place is a bit worn.

Dear guest, we offer our customers to make beds fot their arrival, and to clean their apartment at the end of their stay, those services cost of course an extra charge. We also sell cleaning kit at the reception. Saunas are in many apartments, and it effectively cost an extra charge, you can use it for a session or for the entire week. Regarding the inspection, it's the process in every holiday residence. However we hope you enjoyed your stay. Best regards

Good but didn't quite matdh expectations
This is a very efficiently run apartment complex, with the most excellent Freddie at the helm. The apartment we stayed in was perfectly fine, everything we needed. The location is a strong point: the bus stop is right outside which made our journey to and from the ski slopes very easy. The ski storage area is handy. There is a covered, secure car park which although carries an additional charge, is well worth the money if the snow outside is thick. Two main criticisms. First is that the WiFi is expensive and works only in the lobby area. Second is that the rather inviting 'heated' indoor pool was freezing cold. As I said at the top, the very affable Freddie is superb and is always helpful and always smiling. Thank you!

Perfekt läge i anslutning till skidbuss och tågstation. 10 minuter promenad till skidlift. Närhet till bageri och affär. Lägenheten fin och välplanerad med balkong men på gränsen att leva upp till 4*. Vänlig personal som talar god engelska.

L'équipement de l'hotel est adéquate néanmoins il faut payer un supplément pour tout: le WIFI, le sauna, le ménage, etc. Sinon, l'appartement est plutot bien équipé (malgré une toute petite TV) et le personnel est accueillant.

Hotellet var rymlig dock inte för 7 vuxna som vi hade bokat in då dubbelsängen är för små barn, fötterna får inte plats. Lägenheten var helt ok annars, det som var mindre bra var att man får betala allt extra, wifi,bastu m.m.

Fantastisk område, hvor vi helt sikkert kommer tilbage. Utrolig natur med de meget høje bjerge, super alpestemning i Chamonix - og MANGE muligheder for aktiviteter, som river-rafting, rapelling, paragliding m.m.

Keine angemessene Leistung - um Vergleich zu JH o.
Wenn man die Unterkunft mit einer  (deutschen) Jugendherberge vergleichen würde wäre sie einigermaßen o.k. Mit den angegeben Sternen und dem Preis ist es völlig daneben. Die Wohnung war schon "stark abgenutzt" (aber sehr sauber). Das Schwimmbad war einfach mal geschlossen und trotz gebuchter Endreinigung gab es bei der Abreisetag Diskussionen. Die Lage zu Chamonix ist o.k. - man erreicht es mit dem Zug der direkte gegenüber abfährt  (kostenlos  und) schnell. Insgesamt: kann es leider nicht empfehlen.

Toda a região fica mais bonita com a neve, em especial este Hotel, instalações apesar de antigas estão em condições razoaveis, excelente atendimento na recepção, atentar para o pequeno horario que funciona.

Great skiing nearby.
We have stayed at this residence for many years. We love the skiing at Grands Montets, a short walk away. The property is comfortable and quiet which suits us as we like to be up early to ski. We have everything we need here and intend to come back next year.

O hotel é do tipo apartamento para temporada. A localização é um pouco afastada de Chamonix, com serviços limitados no local. A estação do local é adequada à esquiadores experientes. As instalações do hotel são boas. Os quartos amplos, decoração simples mas em simpático estilo alpino. As colchões e travesseiros são ruins. As instalações da cozinha, utensílios e talheres são razoáveis. A piscina coberta é um diferencial agradável, mas precisa de manutenção. A garagem (extra) não é aquecida e necessita de uma manutenção. Porém, é ampla e útil por ser coberta (evitar que a neve cubra o carro). No check-out é exigido que o quarto esteja limpo e desinfetado. Existe duas opções, fazer você mesmo a limpeza ou pagar uma taxa de limpeza. Acho a exposição a esse tipo de preocupação/escolha inadequado por isso paguei a taxa. Caso o hospede faça ele mesmo a limpeza, o hotel lista uma série de exigências ao hóspede. Presenciei uma discussão entre um hospede e a recepção sobre a limpeza feita pelo mesmo. Penso que seria melhor o hotel adotar como padrão cobrar sempre a taxa de limpeza. O hotel não tem wifi free. O wifi pago funciona na recepção, ou seja, não funciona no quarto. Por isso, não contratei o wifi. Ficar sem internet dificulta muito organizar os passeios, especialmente no vale Chamonix-Mont Blanc, onde é necessário saber quais pista/atrações estão abertas ou fechadas devido ao clima. Wifi free é um diferencial que ajuda muito o hóspede e deveria ser padrão nos bons hotéis.

Résidence proche de tout, autant des transport en commun bus et train que des petits commerces . Appartement tres beau ét bien équipé avec belle vue sur le grand Montet . Piscine propre, chauffée, bel espace. Personnel serviable.

Too much work and no internet!
This is not a hotel. It's a "residence." Which means, upon arrival, you have to make your own beds with the cheap, scratchy sheets you find in a plastic bag on the bed. And you also have to bring your own toilet paper. If you want more than 1 towel per guest per stay, it's 8 euros per towel. You also have to clean the room spotless yourself at the end of the stay or it's a 60 euro charge. And you have to buy your own cleaning supplies! Literally no broom or even paper towels there. There is also no internet in the room at all. If you want to use the wifi in the lobby, it's 8 euros per day. None of this is explained upfront or online. It's a total rip off and ridiculous scam. Although the room and location were both nice. But if I knew all of that first, I never would've stayed there.

Hotel was dirty and charged us for cleaning
The hotel was dirty. We cleaned our room. Spend two nights, but we only slept there. Were not there during the days. When we checked out, they charged us 50 Euro for cleaning of the room, although it was not part of the conditions written at hotel.com or informed when we checked in. The hotel is ok, has good view to mont blanc, 5 min drive from downtown Chamonix and free parking facilities across the street, but we cannot recommend the hotel due to it was dirty and they charged us for cleaning!!

IL y a 2 ans,j'ai déjà séjourné dans cette résidence.J'ai constaté l'usure du mobilier (coups,meubles à entretenir avec de la lasure ou de la cire),quelques carrelages au sol fissurés et aussi revêtement fissuré à la salle de bain.Sans un entretien permanent,la résidence ne sera plus de prestige! Donc un peu déçu.Dommage,car sa situation est exceptionnelle,au centre du village et en face de la gare pour le train Vallorcine - Servoz et proche des arrêts de bus pour les navettes vers les différents domaines skialbles.

Not a hotel
This is advertised as a hotel but is in fact a self catered apartment block. As an apartment block, it would review quite well. As a hotel, it's pretty poor: - No breakfast available - No sheets on bed on arrival - No cleaning service - Swimming pool is too cold to use - Staff are pretty un-available and un-helpful However, it's in Argentierre and very well located. So if what you want is a no frills apartment (and get it for a reasonable price) it's not a bad bet.

Grubby and Expensive Apartments
We booked Le Cristal only because there was no availability where we normally stay in Argentiere. We do not plan to return to Le Cristal. The whole place could do with a good clean, painting and a general update. It appeared that very little money has been spent by the owners on cleaning and general maintenance. Parking, cleaning the apartment, making the bed prior to arrival and stripping the bed on departure were all extra costs! The ski boot lockers were not even heated.
