Carolina Cottage - Spacious UNC Family Home

Family friendly home 10 mins from Chapel Hill and Carrboro. Well-stocked kitchen, movie theater room, fireplace, and outdoor firepit for gathering and memory making. Our home sits on a secluded 3.5 acre lot where you'll see deer and other wildlife! Peaceful, serene, and relaxing, this home makes the perfect getaway.

KITCHEN
Fully stocked kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances and dishwasher. Make and cook meals at home, or visit Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Pittsboro, or Saxapahaw's lovely restaurants for meals out.

MOVIE THEATRE ROOM
A very large 85" TV surrounded by LaZ Boy recliners (with cup-holders) sits off the kitchen. Enjoy movie night or just watch your favorite shows on the big screen TV!

DINING ROOM & COCKTAIL BAR
Enjoy a meal in the formal dining room. With seating for 6, this is a great place to gather. Enjoy an assortment of glasses as well as a cocktail shaker and wine chiller if you want to have beverages together.

SERENE SITTING ROOM
A large and spacious sitting room sits at the entrance of the home. With plenty of seating for 6 around a tranquil fireplace, this room enjoys high vaulted ceilings and views of the woods.

HALF BATH
A first floor half bathroom makes things easy. No need to use the 3 ensuite bathrooms (unless you want to) when you're gathered together.

MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom is on the main floor and has its own large ensuite bathroom complete with soaking tub and walk-in shower. King bed and overhead fan for air flow. Pull the blackout curtains closed for a good night's rest.

UPSTAIRS QUEEN BEDROOM
The upstairs queen bedroom has a TV, fireplace, and ensuite bath (shower-tub combination). Enjoy a dedicated workspace in this room if you want or need to work from home. We have a monitor with HDMI connection if you prefer a second screen.

UPSTAIRS BUNK ROOM
The second bedroom upstairs has a twin-over-queen bunk bed and its own ensuite bathroom. Overhead fan for air movement. Blackout curtains. Perfect for kids - or adults can remove the ladded and use the queen bed, making this another room for single or couple travelers.

OUTDOOR FIREPIT
Gather around the outdoor firepit on the front deck and enjoy views of the stars, the sound of birds chirping, and a cool Carolina breeze.

OUTDOOR GRILL
The griller shown in one of the listing photos has since been removed, as it is no longer in working condition.

SHARED LAUNDRY
We have shared laundry in the basement. You are welcome to do laundry here (we provide laundry detergent). Note that this space is also shared with our housekeepers and the downstairs guest suite that is rented separately (inquire if you'd like to rent out the ENTIRE house).

You'll have full and exclusive access of the home and the front fenced in yard. As noted elsewhere in the listing, we have a private guest suite downstairs that is rented separately. The laundry is shared. Each unit has its own parking and separate entrances on opposite sides of the home on different levels.

DOWNSTAIRS GUEST SUITE
We have a separate guest suite downstairs. This unit has its own separate entrance and parking in the back. You should not see or hear these guests unless you see each other in shared laundry.

NO SMOKING & NO PARTIES
No smoking, absolutely no parties. Excessive noise that disturbs the neighbors will not be tolerated. Quiet hours from 10pm - 8am.

NO UNAUTHORIZED PETS.
Pets allowed with pet fee of $75 and agreement to pet policy. All pets must be registered. Failure to register your pet will result in a $200 unauthorized pet fee.

CANCELLATIONS
The cancellation policy applies to all bookings. An additional $150 cancellation fee will be charged to cover credit card processing and admin fees on all cancellations.

RENTER'S AGREEMENT
A signed renter's agreement is required for all reservations, as well as a picture of a government-issued photo ID and a picture of your credit card used to book showing only the last 4 digits and your name. This is to prevent credit card fraud and is meant to protect you as the renter and us as hosts.

DEPOSIT
We require a $500 deposit for each reservation, which will be processed 3 days before your arrival. As long as there is no unexpected damage to the home, deposits are automatically refunded in full in 7 days.
