'This is our second stay here. It's in a great position, close to Stratford but quiet, lots of outdoor space for the dog and lots of parking. The hotel is very dog friendly, staff, rooms, restaurant. Treats available and great dog menu option. As far as the decor is concerned, the hotel is clean but the decorating and finish leaves much to be desired. Although it's freshly painted, holes and cracks aren't filled, plaster patches aren't sanded... The final touch let's them down. The only problem...

'There was some renovation taking place during our stay. This didn't impact our stay but it worth noting that there was work going on throughout the duration. The staff were brilliant and really helpful. The parking is limited but great value if you are travelling by car and able to stay.'

'It’s dated and needs some tlc - sadly things like layout don’t help, but things like light sensors only lighting after you reach different bits of the corridor just felt cheap and a poor experience. On arrival there were bugs on the window, had clearly not been used/cleaned for a while'

'From our after midnight arrival to the manager who went out of his way to change us from one type of handicap access room to one that was better suited to my needs. This property was run like a well oiled machine. The staff overall was polite and helpful, which obviously was made possible by the manager who seemed to treat them all the same way he treated guests (kind and helpful) even when he wasn’t in the building the staff was exceptional. A rare find these days'

'The hotel is a great hotel situated well for all the sites in Stratford. My concern and found it unbelievable that they ask you to help out with the planet and participate in using towels sensibly and I think that is great, but the bathroom towel rail is on 24/7 and in a heat wave as it was when we stayed it is very very uncomfortable, I asked at reception but unfortunately can’t be turned off in any of the rooms. CRAZY'

'The hosts are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Bill extensively explained to me what to see in Stratford, while I enjoyed some excellent home made fruitcake. The room is equipped with kettle, lots of tea bags, instant coffee, instant hot chocolate, and biscuits. Breakfast is fabulous with prizewinning home made jams. All together amazing value for £55 single occupancy. Only downside is the slightly long walk to the town centre.'

'Neat place above the pub. If staying in that section, the stairs are quite narrow to get checked luggage up - but doable. We booked through Expedia and it said no attendant on site - so there was confusion on where to leave our bags and we did not receive a response so we ended up paying Premier Inn to hold our bags. 'No air conditioning, despite being advertised as having it, waited 40 minutes to check in with no apologies and when I got into the room, on the hottest day of the year, the room was 48 degrees with a window that opened two inches!!! I requested a full refund from the duty manager who didn’t seem to care at all and kept us waiting another 40 minutes before arguing that because I bought it through Expedia there was nothing he could do. 'Één kamer, de duurdere signature room, was uitstekend. Mooi bad bij slaapgedeelte en aparte, kleine badkamer met douche. Kamer was ruim, mooi ingericht en schoon. Andere kamer van ons gezelschap was mooi, maar had lekkageproblemen en schimmel. Algemeen: bij meerdaags verblijf mogen toiletartikelen worden aangevuld en bed opgemaakt. Mooi oud pand in geweldig stadje.'

'We stayed two nights. The hosts were amazing. Great choice for breakfast. Very convenient for the town. The bedroom was quiet with a lovely view to the garden. Didn’t realise there was a fridge until the last day!! We will return hopefully when the weather is better'
