  • This Charlottesville charming cottage offers a peaceful retreat for solo travelers or couples wanting to experience the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains close to Charlottesville. It is spacious for a one bedroom cottage and offers plenty of natural light and outdoor space to enjoy. The cottage includes amenities such as a cable TV, fast WiFi, and A/C. It also is newly equipped with beautiful white furnishings for the utmost tranquility, comfort, and enjoyment.

    The cottage is located just 8 miles west of Charlottesville on a private residence property with mountain views. The on site hosts are lovely to speak with and offer guests plenty of privacy while being available for any needs. Within 10 miles of UVA, King Family Vineyards, Ragged Mountain, Birdwood Golf Course, and Pippin Hill Vineyards, this property is the ideal home base for your next Charlottesville vacation.

    Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at this property, and the on site owner is quite strict about this rule. In the case of service animals, we follow current ADA requirements. Please notify us in advance if you travel with a service animal.

Great little cottage near Charlottesville

This was a very nice, quiet place to stay near Charlottesville. We had all the amenities we needed and a couple of extras that were really nice touches - small glasses of orange juice and some oatmeal for breakfast!

Beautiful Place

In the area to see family in Crozet and the cottage was the perfect place for us. The location is so peaceful and quiet. The host were excellent in communication and made us feel truly welcomed. We will stay again when we are back in the area.

The cabin amongst the deer

We really enjoyed this cabin very easy to get to but felt we were off the main road. Place was well stocked snd clean and loved the art work from a beloved family member in the rooms . The beds were comfy and loved being surrounded with herds of deer in the mornings and evenings.. was close to Many restaurants and the golf course

Cozy Cottage

Comfortable, clean, cozy cottage perfect for a getaway or parents visiting UVA student. As visiting parents ourselves, we enjoyed the beautiful countryside that is not too far away from campus. It was a great spot to relax and recharge.

Amazing Space Near Charlottesville

A Relaxing Getaway

The Plainfield Cottage is a perfect getaway. We came in for a graduation and were quite busy. However, each time I stepped into the cottage, it felt peaceful, bright and clean. A great retreat to unwind and relax at. Cathy was very attentive on any needs we needed, as there were few because it was well stocked.

Sweet cottage outside of Charlottesville

Comfy little spot just on the outskirts of Charlotte near wineries. Wonderful location and sweet cottagey feel. Highly recommend this for a little get away. There is no full kitchen but that worked well for us as it had everything else we needed including snacks, tea and coffee. Host was very friendly and helpful with local food ideas.

Lovely Cottage

My husband and I are relocating to Charlottesville. We stayed for a week while checking out houses and becoming more familiar with the area. The cottage is conveniently located between C'ville and Crozet, tastefully decorated and comfortable, with a kitchenette stocked with coffee, tea, milk, etc. Cathy greeted me on arrival and checked in occasionally to make sure all was well during our stay. Wonderful lodging, wonderful host.

Lovely Cottage

My husband and I stayed for the weekend. The cottage was comfortable and very cute. We loved the location and surroundings. A little tucked away Gem!

Cathy & Kirk's place was a gem to stay in for our last minute, long weekend get away! Everything we needed to get our day started, and return at night to rest our heads. Located 15-30 minutes from everywhere we wanted to visit, away from all the hubbub of city or crowds, peace & quiet... Perfection! We enjoyed our time here, easily recommend for a 1-2 person stay.

Comfortable, Classy and Convenient!

I met a large group of friends in the Crozet and Charlottesville areas for the weekend to celebrate our 40th birthdays, and of all the rentals we booked, this cottage truly stood out. Conveniently located just outside Crozet, I was easily able to get around to the places where all our activities were planned.One of the highlights was meeting the gracious proprietor, who was not only welcoming but also full of great local recommendations for places to eat, drink, and explore. Their hospitality really added a personal touch to a great trip.If you're looking for a peaceful, well-located, and maintained spot to stay while exploring the Crozet and Charlottesville areas, I can't recommend this cottage enough. I would absolutely love to stay here again in the future!
