Dowtown Mall - beste locatie in C-Ville - Rare House net buiten Main Street

U hoeft niet een auto nodig voor deze ene, 100 Feet naar Main Street, 200 Feet naar Downtown Mall, 700 Feet aan UVA Campus en de UVA Medical Center. 200 Feet naar Amtrak Station. Korte aangename wandeling naar John Paul Jones Arena, Scott Stadion en The Corner. Wij zijn ook gelegen vlakbij de Zip Car Stop zodat u uw auto thuis te laten en rijden de trein! Maar u hoeft de auto niet te verlaten, we hebben ook een speciale off-street parkeerplaats! Een andere optie is de gratis trolley.

2 Bedroom 1 1/2 Bath Modern House, waarschijnlijk de absoluut beste locatie voor wat ik zocht; een plek om te verblijven, dicht bij alles, maar toch de privacy van een huis! Bereid jezelf, zul je niet meer wilt verlaten ... zijn awesome! We waren op zoek naar een appartement te delen met onze VRBO vrienden en vonden dit geweldige kleine huis. Ongeveer 995 vierkante voet en zo comfortabel.

Ons huis is gelegen op loopafstand van de meest gerenommeerde restaurants in Charlottesville, met inbegrip van Mas Tapas, Tavola en Lampo, The Local, en Junction (moderne Mexicaanse) onder anderen. We zijn ook een korte wandeling naar de beroemde Downtown Pedestrian Mall met een prachtig lokale boetiekjes; live muziek in de Jefferson Theater of Sprint Pavilion (Downtown Amphitheatre); theater, comedy, of opera in het Paramount Theater en live kunst; Violet Crown Cinema, heerlijke eetgelegenheden, gelato, en de Charlottesville Visitor Center. Veel van de populairste attracties van Charlottesville's (Monticello / Ashlawn) zijn niet meer dan 5 mijl afstand. De wijncultuur hier heeft nationale bekendheid en proeflokalen opgedaan bij lokale wijnkelders, zoals Veritas, Barboursville, Pollack, White Hall, Keswick, Jefferson, Glass House samen met de ontluikende brouwerij tours van plaatsen als Blue Mountain Brewery, Three Notch'd, Devils backbone, Champion en Wild Wolf zijn binnen een 10-30 minuten rijden en zorgen voor onvergetelijke dagtochten. Als u een liefhebber van het buitenleven, de Rivanna Trail (gevestigd in Belmont, ongeveer 5 minuten) en de Blue Ridge Mountains zijn recht op de weg zo goed en zijn gemakkelijk bezocht te nemen in de prachtige vergezichten.

We were lucky to find this gem. The perfect location for all things Charlottesville. Owner was top notch to work with all booking and during stay inquiries were quickly and accurately answered. Plenty of space for a couple of two for a long stay. Every appliance needed was there and working well. An abundance of china, glasses, cooking ware and paper products were stocked. Friendly neighbors. Everything well kept in this cottage. Look forward to another stay here in the future.

My sister and I hubbed out of Charlottesville for three days as we traveled around Western VA visiting family. The cottage is quiet, in a safe little neighborhood a block from West Main St, where we found lots of great dining and shopping options. It was a perfect little base from which to explore the nearby mountains and countryside.

This is a complete Cville gem! A perfect spot to walk to campus or downtown shops and restaurants or a base for day trips. The property is clean, well-stocked and very comfortable. It is close to the train tracks….we noticed the train, but it wasn’t problem in any way. (In fact, the location would make a visit via Amtrak an easy option!). Sarah was flexible, quick to respond and very friendly. I will stay again and highly recommend to any UVA or Cville visitors.

We had a great stay in this beautiful 2 bdr home just off Main Street in Charlottesville. Just a block from Main Street restaurants and stores, and a quick walk to the Corner or to the Downtown Mall. Home is very clean, quaint, and complete with all the essentials! Owner is quick to respond to questions. My college roommates from the 1980s and I stayed in this lovely home to visit and reminisce about our time at U.Va. Our stay in C'ville was made even more special by staying in this lovely 2 bdr cottage. Would recommend this lovely home to any C'ville visitor. We will definitely stay again!

As others have stated and we agree- the location is great. It’s an easy walk to many nice restaurants and shops. The house is clean and cozy. Although the train tracks are nearby, we were never bothered by the noise. The area is quiet and the neighbors are friendly. Sarah is incredibly responsive and made our time there easy. We will be back.

Our family of four and our small, well-behaved dog stayed here over the winter holidays so we could visit my parents in Charlottesville and have space to call our own. The house suited our needs well, and easy access to downtown was awesome. Check-in and check-out processes were simple and allowed us to arrive late in the evening and leave early on our last morning. There are a couple of quirks with the house (a finicky bedroom lamp, a queen-size mattress on a king-size frame?), but overall it was great and just what we needed. If you're a light sleeper, proximity to the train tracks could wake you up at night or an early train might have you ready for an Albemarle Baking Company pastry just a wee bit earlier than usual. Likewise, if you arrive in town via train, the house is within walking distance of the station.

Fantastic location in Charlottesville! Easy walk to downtown restaurants, breweries and shops. Sarah(owner) was amazing to communicate with before and during our stay. She gave us suggestions on places to eat and was great about accommodating an early check-in due to a last minute work issue. I highly recommend making reservations if you know where you want to eat in Charlottesville. We found that trying to get into a place for dinner and even breakfast on the weekend, was more difficult than we expected at many restaurants. The house was cute and perfect for two couples! Bedrooms were a good size with storage area to unpack our clothing for a few days. Plenty of towels to use for showers and the kitchen was fully stocked with what we needed for our 3 night stay. The only negative is there are train tracks about 100 yards from the house and the train comes through every morning sometime between 2am-4am, but we were always able to fall back to sleep.

I stayed here with my fiancé and my parents. It was an excellent choice. We could easily walk to downtown, and it is right by our favorite diner, Blue Moon Diner. Highly recommend.

If you want a house that’s very close to downtown, UVA, restaurants, bars etc. this is the one for you. We really enjoyed our stay and found only a couple minor issues. The second bedroom mattress is worn out, the TV Wi-Fi fails constantly and the master bedroom TV would never connect. These issues didn’t overshadow the good and we’d book again for sure.
