Nice place if you want to visit Chartres' churches
Very friendly staff, we had a nice room on the 4th floor with far view (and sound..) of the Cathedral. The bathroom is well equipped and modern, we missed sufficient room/hooks/bar to leave the towels and a planchet for the toothbrush etc. would make the designer-washbin easier to use. Distance to the inner city is about 5 minutes walk. Railway station is very close (no noise heard). Parking is easy. The old city and its narrow streets is worth a visit. Don't miss the other churches. If the world famous cathedral wasn't there, the St.Pierre church would be the highlight of any city. Despite its rather neglected state a beauty.

The hotel is ideally located very near the train station and a short walk to Chartres cathedral. It was easy to get to restaurants and shopping. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating, they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Great location near railway station, but the hotel needs an upgrade. Room was cramped. The shower smelt of drains. Breakfast was varied but of poor quality. Overall a disappointing experience.

Le : le personnel, la chambre est jolie. Le moins : douche italienne cassée donc mauvaise évacuation de l’eau (on se douche le soir le lendemain c’est la flaque stagnante), housse de couette déchirée sur 20-25 cm sur le haut vers là où on met sa tête, chambre qui donne sur 2 kebab et une « Épicerie du coin » avec une isolation phonique de la fenêtre insuffisante, pas de bouilloire ni machine à café, ni mini frigo (je rappelle c’est un 4 étoiles), chambre sombre, petit déjeuner copieux quand c’est resservi à temps (bacon sec et froid), pas la possibilité de changer d’assiette donc si on commence avec œufs brouillés bacon on continue avec le sucré dedans), jus de fruit température ambiante…(le tout pour 18 euros). Il manque clairement du personnel au petit déjeuner.

Misrepresented
It says parking available but in fact its a long walk to public parking that cost 22€50 from 5pm till 12 midday. As a disabled person it was horrendous 😕

Lovely hotel in a beautiful town
Grand hotel the decor inside is art deco. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was great, best coffee of our trip so far. The wetroom doesn't really work. There was water everywhere after shower. But that was the only negative.

un bon choix pour une étape sur la route des vacan
Bien situé en face de la gare SNCF et à 5 mn de la cathédrale. Attention le parking de l'hôtel est limité en place, mais il y a le parking de la cathédrale tout près à un meilleur prix. Le petit déjeuner est très correct. Les chambres sont relativement petites, mais les salles de bain sont correctes. Il y a beaucoup de bons restaurants à proximité.

Chambres qui mériteraient un rafraîchissement, je tombe sur une première avec des taches de sang sur les rideaux et sur les draps, un trou dans le plâtre. En changeant de chambre, je récupère une douche qui ne draine pas bien et inonde la salle de bain, un morceau de la barre de douche qui tombe quand je prend ma douche et enfin, le robinet qui reste bloqué sur eau brûlante.

Great find in Chartres
Beautiful room with Art Deco features, comfortable bed, perfectly functional bathroom with Art Deco mirror, black out curtains - no problem with noise even with the train station across the way. Very pleasant staff and nice lobby/bar. A short walk to the cathedral.

Room 107 smells like drain pipe. During Checkout we gave a hint but the reaction showed, that they knew about it and it was not worth a comment or an excuse. (My only reason for writing this is, because i'm under the impression, that they will not take action on it) May be that's only this room, but if you check google reviews, you will find similiar opinions. 8.8 is rediculous Btw. Don't expect a beer or wine as welcome Drink. It's tea. Take this info and make your own decision :-) Und kurz auf deutsch. In Raum 107 stinkt es nach Abwasserrohr. Als ich das beim Checkout erwähnte, gab es null Reaktion. Sie haben einfach weiter gemacht. Nicht mal eine Entschuldigung. Der Umgang mit der Beschwerde ist der Grund für diesen Kommentar, denn ich habe nicht den Eindruck, dass sie was unternehmen werden. Thema welcome Drink. Es ist weder Bier noch Wein, weder Cola noch Limo. Es ist Tee. Aber gut. Entscheidet selbst.
