Wonderful stay in a cosy house

This was the most cosy and well equipped house we ever stayed in! So much care was taken to ensure we had everything we needed! Very tastefully renovated in a quiet little hamlet, near many, very beautiful places! We visited lots of them: castles of Ussé, Chinon, Azay, l'Islette, a true gem! A week wasn't long enough! We were only with the 2 of us but if you come with more people, take note that there is only one bedroom with a door and that you have to pass the (very beautiful) open space with 2 beds! The beds are of great quality, the insect screens in al the windows such a thoughtful addition!!! We thank Didier and Patricia for their hospitality and lovely gifts! It was a very hot week, but inside the house it stayed nice and cool!

Fraaie en complete gite, rustig, schoon en gastvrije mensen

Fantastisch verblijf. Mijn vrouw en ik uit Nederland samen met mijn neef en vrouw uit Engeland. Een geweldige week beleefd. Heel gastvrije en sympathieke eigenaren die in het huis ernaast wonen. Rustig gelegen, 2 ruime slaapkamers en 2 badkamers. Leuke tuin met kleine vogeltjes op bezoek! Schoon, compleet, comfortabel en ruim tegen zeer sympathieke prijzen. Een van de mooiste gites die mijn vrouw en ik ooit bezocht hebben (en we hebben veel ervaring).

Great and very clean house situated near alot of beautiful Loire castles. The house itself has the comforts you expect and was bigger than it looked in the pictures. Good shower and beds, essential for a good stay with friendly hosts.

Super mooi huis in moderne stijl

Erg mooi huis met alle gemakken. Erg luxe en fijne bedden Super mooi afgewerkt. Erg veel tijd besteed aan het moderniseren van het huis. Badkamer super netjes, schoon en de luxe. De keuken is erg netjes en is ook daadwerkelijk een keuken. Kan zo uit een Landal-huis zijn gekomen. Master-bedroom is erg netjes, schoon en ruim. Met een Velux dakraam om te koelen. Groot, 1.8m brede boxspring om in te slapen, die erg goed lag. 2de slaapkamer met 2 losse boxsprings staan op de overloop. Mooie grote ruimte met genoeg opbergplekken. Bakamer 2, naast de master, hebben wij niet gebruikt, maar zag er ook erg netjes uit. Al met al een erg net, schoon, luxe en groot vakantiehuis

Een prachtig oud maar modern verbouwd verblijf.

Een leuk comfortabel huis van alle gemakken voorzien. Gastheer en vrouw leuke meedenkende mensen die er echt naar hebben gestreefd een oase van rust te creëren waar wij ons direct thuis hebben gevoeld. Super schoon en ruim van opzet. Wij waren meer dan aangenaam verrast.

Pareltje in de Loire streek

Bijzonder mooi gerestaureerd huis met alle voorzieningen. Didier en Patricia zijn voortreffelijke gastheer/vrouw. Geweldig fijn bed in een prachtige slaapkamer. Uitstekende badkamer en een heerlijk ruime woonkeuken. Naast het terras is er ook nog een grote tuin (groot genoeg om chippen en putten te oefenen :-). De streek is echt de moeite waard met pracchtige kastelen en fietsroutes langs de Loire. De rosé uit Azay-le-Rideau is niet te versmaden.

Oasis of calm and charm

We have spent one week in May at Blue Bee (couple with 2 small children) and have returned home rejuvenated and relaxed. The house is set in a charming garden on the edge of a quiet hamlet. The location is few minutes drive from picturesque Azay le Rideau which has all the shops we needed and as bonus several lovely restaurants and the famous castle. Villandry, Langeais, Chinon, and Tours are all within half an hour drive. For us, first timers in the Loire valley, the location was perfect. House itself is freshly renovated and fitted to a very high standard, but has retained its old charm. The terrace is made for lazy diners and BBQ. Kids loved playing table tennis and climbing huge cherry tree. Patricia and Didier are perfect hosts- welcoming and relaxing at the same time. They welcomed us with Patricia's cold apple juice (and bottle of lovely red), which after 8 hours in sunny car was very gratefully received. This vacation was complete package - Loire valley and all the culture and nature we could take in and perfect house to return to every day. Thanks Patricia and Didier, we hope to come again!

Charming cottage with lovely garden, beautifully decorated, lots of activities

We stayed in l'Abeille bleue for 1 week in July 2017 and highly recommend this cottage! Didier and Patricia are the kindest host; communicating with them is easy (both before and during the stay) and they definitely go the extra mile to make the stay extra pleasant. Plus, Patricia's plum jam is excellent. The cottage is nicely decorated, with original details (limestone fireplace, dark beams in the bedrooms) but with modern facilities such as 2 good bathrooms, excellent boxspring beds (double bed 1.80m), fully equipped kitchen and enough glassware and cutlery. The garden is wonderful: seating area with enough shade for the warmer days, herb garden, barbecue facilities, lounge chairs, private parking for 1 car, fruit trees, all very tranquil. For the little ones there's a baby bed, safe high chair, baby bath and changing mat. However there are no stairgates and the 2 single beds are not in a separate room but on a large landing where the stairs end. There's literally nothing in the direct area, but the town of Cheillé is only 5 mins drive, Azay-le-Rideau is 10 mins and Chinon with large supermarkets is 20 mins by car. There's more than enough to do and see in the area. L'abeille bleue is perfect for a quiet getaway with the family in a touristic area of the Loire Valley. We highly recommend the place and would love to come back!

Ontzettend mooi en af huis, van alle gemakken voorzien, modern en authentiek.

Vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars, die dit huisje super mooi hebben opgeknapt, strak modern afgewisseld met authentieke kenmerken. Een mooie tuin met terras en nog een groot stuk gras voor kinderen om te spelen. Wij hebben ons zeer goed vermaakt. Er zijn voldoende bezienswaardigheden in de buurt. Mooi gebied om rond te toeren met de fiets had ook leuk geweest.

Deux couples, amis, seniors avancés... nous revisitions le Val de Loire, depuis le gîte de Patricia et Didier.Gîte adapté pour cohabiter, se retrouver sans se gêner.Gîte très bien équipé. En tout. Jusqu'au détail. Très belle restauration. Tout est bien réfléchi, et avec goût !Belle literie. Beau linge. Par exemple.L'Abeille bleue a aussi été un Eden en ces jours de canicule... La maison reste bien fraîche ; il suffit de faire le nécessaire. ET : les hauts arbres du verger, mis à disposition, garantissent un espace rare, et dispensent une ombre dense hautement appréciée !Patricia et Didier nous ont arrangés pour l'heure d'arrivée. Nous savions qu'ils étaient disponibles, si besoin.Petites attentions. Souci de notre bien-être. Oui.Mais avec eux, cela a été aussi une belle rencontre. Le tourisme doublé d'une dimension humaine, chaleureuse, c'est toujours un cadeau de la vie !

Well appointed gite in a very quiet hamlet very close to Azay-Le-Rideau. The gite has been well renovated, has a large garden and is very weĺl equipped. The hosts were charming and helpful and although they lived next door, were very unobtrusive yet always available for advice/help. Would be very happy to come back again.

Delightful

Patricia and Didier made us very welcome and are clearly proud of the gite they have created and rightly so. We could not fault a thing, spotlessly clean, and the property had everything you could possibly need for a comfy stay, even mozzy coils! We really loved the apple juice made from their own apples, nothing you can buy comes close. The garden is charming, lots of space for lounging, herbs to pick for cooking and we were able to take ripe cherries from their tree. There is plenty to do in the area and some great restaurants. Thank you again Patricia and Didier, we hope to return.

Séjour familial idéal

Gîte remarquable en tous points : très bien situé, très bien aménagé avec goût dans une petite maison ancienne aux belles proportions ; un charme fou avec son petit jardin fleuri agrémenté de simples! À disposition une grande pelouse sous les arbres fruitiers, des jeux pour enfants. Patricia et Didier ont été aux petits soins pour nous ! facilitant même une réunion dans le jardin avec nos enfants la veille du mariage de notre petite-fille ! Avons apprécié le feu tout prêt dans le poêle car le dernier jour de notre séjour était frisquet. C’est sûr nous reviendrons !

Ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt

Wir (4 Erwachsene Ü50) wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns von der ersten Sekunde an in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war alles da, was einen gelungenen Urlaub ausmacht. Das Haus liegt extrem ruhig und ist ein idealer Ausgangsort für viele Ausflüge und Besichtigungen der Loire-Schlösser. Es besteht eine überdachte Parkmöglichkeit. Es ist alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Wir können die Unterkunft bei Patricia und Didier Pled wärmstens empfehlen.

Didier et Patricia nous ont chaleureusement accueilli dans leur gîte confortable, parfaitement équipé (nous etions avec un nourisson de 1 an et enfant de 4 ans), bien placé, et rénové avec un respect de l'ancien dans une démarche écogique. La grange est un plus pour garer le véhicule et y stocker les vélo au sec. Nous y avons passé d'excellentes vacances.

A fruitful stay in a peaceful cottage

Despite some unseasonal cold and wet weather and suffering from colds caught on the ferry from GB we really enjoyed our 2 weeks at L’Abeille Bleue. What made it so great was the warmth of our hosts Didier and Patricia, a most welcoming and generous couple. Didier was so concerned that we understood how the heating system worked (we really needed it!) that he came in twice to check that we understood it. And we also benefitted greatly from gifts of fruit (peaches, apples, figs) and vegetables from their potager. We went home with a large box of figs for jam picked only a few feet from the back door. The cottage is a few minutes from Azay-le-Rideau and within easy reach of all the main Loire chateaux and other sites. The little settlement of Grand Vaujoint is very peaceful. We managed to sit outside when the sun appeared and could see that the shaded patio and garden would be great in the heat of summer. We walked several times on the small traffic-free roads around the cottage, which are virtually traffic-free. To cap it all we actually saw a blue bee on the wall by the patio!

A superb experience

Didier and Patricia are two marvellous people who have created a marvellous gîte. Its revealed stone, exposed beams and original floors create a beautiful environment, full of textures and shapes. This is complemented by modern kitchen and bathroom fixtures of the highest quality, and the superb wooden staircase and table in the kitchen. Everything is tasteful and delightful. The house is generously equipped: plenty of cutlery, towels, crockery, pans, chairs. Mosquito nets and blinds protected us effectively from heat and bites! The whole place was spotlessly clean - probably the cleanest gîte we have ever experienced in years of visiting France - and provided with cleaning materials to maintain that standard. Everything was provided to make the stay pleasant, easy and enjoyable. Our hosts gave us a warm welcome on arrival, and also maintained a discrete distance as we lived our parallel lives. The calm of the interior is matched by the peaceful surroundings: an excellent place to relax. Thank you for a superb experience!

Fantastic gite

Lovely, spacious house that comfortably accommodated five adults. It is extremely well equipped with tea towels, dishwasher tablets etc all provided. We especially enjoyed the outside space, eating out under the sail ok the patio and playing badminton and table tennis in the garden. The helpful owners have thought of everything!
