'There are always a few small things (our cold tap barely worked) but overall, this hotel was brilliant. Staff were friendly, spa was really well appointed and treatments were both very good and reasonably priced. Its location right on the river and in the heart of a tiny but bustling little village is idyllic. Room was spacious, comfortable bed, all the necessary accessories. Highly recommended '

'Stunning ancient stone manor in the angevin countryside, beautifully restored. Our bedroom (Le Roi) - one of four - was huge, and the attention to detail and comfort was outstanding. Hosts Mel and Hywel are charming and efficient. Dinner (three courses including wine, no choice but not intimidating) was delicious; breakfast was exemplary. We will happily go back.'

'Prachtige kamer met salon, haard, groot bed en veel kasten en boekenrekken, trapje af naar grote badkamer. Apart toilet. Geweldige suite dus, voor lage prijs. Je kan in het salon zitten, er is een biljartkamer... Ontbijten doe je aan een grote tafel met de andere gasten. Het vriendelijke onthaal wordt verzorgd door de dame des huizes met Ierse roots, en de efficiënte Monique. Je waant je even echte adel. Heerlijk verblijf.'

'Absolutely spectacular. We really enjoyed our time at Chateau de Candes. Bertrand and Sam went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. Running this place is not easy but the family are doing their absolute best as custodians. They are fully dedicated and committed to making Chateau de Candes a success. Merci Bertrand et Sam. 'Nous avons fêté en amoureux notre 1er anniversaire de mariage et c'était formidable. Tout était parfait. Le massage pour madame à notre arrivée (je m'y suis pris trop tard pour pouvoir faire un massage en couple), 1 heure de relaxation dans le SPA, hammam, et diner a l'extérieur. Ce petit chateau est magnifique. Le personnel est au petit soin pour que le sejour soit inoubliable. Bref, nous recommandons.'

'Séjour fantastique, très bonne organisation sur tout le site, un personnel très agréable, attentif et courtois. Seul bémol, la propreté du logement qui laisse à désirer ( toiles d'araignées et araignées...), terrasse très sale notamment. un effort serait bienvenu sur ce dernier point. Nous reviendrons! '
