This has got to be one of the worst experiences of hospitality and stay I’ve EVER experienced. Let’s start with our arrival-we had called multiple times prior to arrange a hotel car come pick us up on arrival at the airport. They had us send a what’s app message saying to send our flight details, confirming all was good, saying they will have a sign with my name. We land into chennai international airport, no one is there, we are calling the hotel, they keep putting us on hold, no one has any idea what’s going on. So we end up getting a Uber at 4:30Am after waiting an hour and being bombarded at the airport by local solicitors and get to the hotel. On arrival, the staff has zero remorse on what we just went through, just shaking their head, we asked to speak to a manager and he had nothing to say, just gave us a better room and said he can give us a “discounted” rate for breakfast when breakfast was already included. We get to the room-the suite they upgraded to- there are stains on the sheet, mold in the bathroom, it’s questionable is this is even safe to breathe in. After an 18 hour flight if you think you are getting some sleep, no way, they have 3 clubs and zero sound proofing provisions, our entire room was vibrating to the bass of the music, not to mention ZERO privacy because the balcony’s all connect & there were random people looking into our room, drunk people being sloppy all through the lobby, def nothing luxury or cute about that. There was some tank cleaning in the hotel, resulting in dirty water in the shower. And the hotel did not compensate or even provide another room despite requesting many times.

Had buffet at their restaurant, the buffet spread itself was impressive, featuring a wide array of delicious options. However, the service, or rather the lack of it, marred the dining experience. Requests for basic items like naan and drinks were met with delays, taking over 20 minutes to be fulfilled, despite repeated reminders. Water service was minimal, provided just once with no follow-up for refills. Additionally, the staff seemed more interested in their conversations, often engaging in chatter amongst themselves, which contributed to a noisy environment dominated by staff voices rather than the ambient din of dining guests. This not only detracted from the dining experience but also created an annoying atmosphere, making it hard to enjoy the meal. Overall, while the food at the buffet was good, the poor service and the staff's disregard for guest experience made for an unpleasant visit. A focus on improving service standards could potentially transform this into a recommendable dining destination.

Dont stay here. This is not 5 stars. More like a 2/3 star hotel. Property is outdated. Phones, tv don’t work, bathtub leaks water on the floor. Elevators are slow and unreliable. Got stuck in the elevator myself. Although the staff tries their best to be accommodating they are aware this is an outdated, old hotel that needs a lot of repair.

Won’t call this a 5-star. Elevators are super slow and very limited. Breakfast buffet was average. Rooms are OK, but can we bring back privacy in bathrooms though? Why the curtain to hide shower area is outside the bathroom? Not every room has to be intended for honeymoon.

The Pain Hotel
The Pain ! should be the name of the Hotel. Worst Service. To get non working Fridge replaced need 5 calls and > 30 mins. Room Service guy asking Cash / GPAY to settle bill on the spot. Ringing > 2200 hrs and sending Card Machine for bill payment for order placed at 1900 hrs. Absolute careless & superslow. No way near Star hotel.

I was surprised that this was rated 5 star. The property is not managed properly. Room was not clean, had dirty stains and dust everywhere , was not ventilated at all due to which there was a weird smell. Certainly not a 5 star hotel. Worthy of a 2 star hotel. Run down, horrible unresponsive service. Hope the star rating of this hotel is reviewed soon and appropriately downgraded to a likely 2 star hotel. Dirty, old toilets, super slow lifts. Prices of in room dining are that of a 5 star hotel but nothing else is.
