Sportsman thema, echte blokhut met comfortabele houtkachel en haard, plus back-up regelmatig warmte heeft. Badkamer met douche voor twee en boven standable loft met een koningin en volledige dubbele bed. Boven en beneden HD Smart TV / DVD-speler setups, plus vaste telefoon en high speed glasvezel internet service. Funky front porch met schommelstoelen en mooie tuinhuisje om te dineren als ze niet met behulp van de mini-grote zaal pittoreske uitzicht op eetkamer tafel. Privacy plus, gelegen op mooie, rustige, stad onderhouden grindweg. Meer dan 100 gratis gebruik van goede dvd-films voor uw kijkplezier. Kleine keuken met dubbele wastafel, grote koelkast en vier pits gasfornuis met oven, plus een magnetron en een pantry. Alle keukengerei en potten, pannen, borden, kopjes en glazen inbegrepen. U moet uw eigen linnengoed (lakens en handdoeken) en / of slaapzakken. Dekens en dekbedden zijn beschikbaar. Absoluut geen huisdieren (sorry). Geen vuilnis pick-up, zodat u een prullenbak u maakt, moet verwijderen (plastic zakken zijn voorzien). Bezems en stofzuigers bedoeld voor lichte zelfreinigende voor vertrek. Perfect Cabin for a Cozy Getaway

This cabin was the perfect little spot for a New Years vacation. It’s easy to get to, has parking on site, and is a short drive to get groceries, some shops in town, and more. We loved the nostalgic feel of the appliances and decor, including the retro Nintendo comforter! We cooked all of our meals while here, the stove and oven worked well and there were plenty of pots, pans, etc. The fireplace was easy to use and warmed the entire place well, even during a snowstorm. We made good use to the CD and DVD collection. Will definitely be staying here again!

Fantastic gem in Chester

Beautiful place that was somehow very convenient to town and everything we wanted to do, but then also secluded and surrounded by nature. Very cozy and Gene was so helpful and we made the most of our time thanks to his suggestions. Would love to go back again soon!

Nice but...

The idea of the cabin was wonderful but it had a lot of quirks. First, you had to bring your own sheets and towels. Second, there were cobwebs from 1974, and having all the mouse traps around the cabin was not romantic. Then we had snow and the driveway was only half plowed so you couldn't turn around and go down the driveway nose first, you had to back down the driveway and then the power went out. Finally, you hoped all the electrical wiring was to code because there were outlets and plugs everywhere.

Family friendly cabin

What a great host and stay. Gene welcomed us with news of the local winter carnival and we had a blast with kids riding in a horse drawn sleigh and on mini snowmobiles. Kids loved the cozy cabin. I loved the vibe, cabin made me nostalgic for a stranger things episode ;)

Cozy Cabin

I spent the weekend at Eugene’s cabin and it was exactly as described in the listing. The cabin was very clean and was well stocked. The woodstove kept the house really warm and there was plenty of firewood. We will definitely be back again.

Anniversary Weekend in the Woods

We had a great time at Gene's cabin. It was small and homey and perfect for our getaway. The singing deer head by the fireplace is great fun and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch with our morning coffee watching the leaves fall. It is easy to find and near quite a few amenities while still feeling remote. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner our first night there. Be sure to sign the guest book and be surprised how long Gene has been renting this cabin out!

Enjoyed My 2nd Stay Here

Just spent my second time at this cabin having previously stayed here in Fall 2022. It's in a great location and is already stocked with supplies and tools. Tons of hiking trails in the area and Chester is only a short car ride away. Warm in the fall and cool in the summertime. Great view from the porch as well. Plenty space for one person but also a good amount room for a family or multiple people. Host has been helpful and communicative every time I've stayed here.

Fantastic cabin

My group and I loved the beautiful cabin in Chester VT. It was a perfect location to ski Okemo and it had all of the right amenities for us. The town of Chester was cute and we appreciated all of the information provided by Gene for not only the cabin but also the village. Would recommend!

Wonderful Retreat

We rented this cabin to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. Gene was a very thorough host informing us of impending weather and keeping us informed at all times. Quirky Cabin Perfect for a Winter Ski Weekend

The cabin was exactly what we were expecting and just right for our ski weekend at Okemo. Gene was there to greet us and show us around the cabin. The cabin is definitely rustic, with a beautiful view from the front porch, warm inside and plenty of entertainment options for tired evenings. The kitchen was just enough for quick after-ski meals. Would choose this cabin again.

Great winter stay!

We had an amazing time at Gene’s cabin! It was charming and cozy. We were in Chester to ski at Magic Mountain and Okemo, and the drives were pretty quick. We had planned on going out to eat, but both nights we were too happy to make a fire and watch a movie to leave! We will definitely try to come back

Gene made my stay wonderful!

Gene was very helpful making sure my stay was a very good one. I particularly liked the wood stove and the Christmas lights ambiance. Everything from Gene, to the cabin, to the location was excellent. I told a friend about it and he wants to go!

Great fall getaway

What a great spot for a fall weekend getaway with friends. We enjoyed the fire pit and used the grill to cook our dinner. Quick ride into downtown Chester where you can get anything you need. Would definitely come back!

Great Ski Weekend at the Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the Cabin. It is conveniently located near Magic Mountain, Okemo and Bromley. We enjoyed the location, very quiet and relaxing. Woke up each morning to sip coffee and watch the birds at the feeders on the front porch. Gene was fantastic with providing all of the details for check-in and our stay. Also, we enjoyed dining out in Chester and met very nice people. (Note: restaurants are small, so either make a reservation or dine during non-peak hours). We can certainly see why Gene picked this location to have a getaway cabin. We would stay again.

10/10 Little Log Cabin

Highly recommend this cabin for a getaway in Vermont. Perfectly positioned close to ski resorts but tucked away in the beauty of nature. Cozy and well-equipped no matter the weather. Gene is an exceptionally accommodating host. Will certainly return again in the future!
