I was travelling solo, felt extremely safe at the Royal Sonesta. Very well connected for any tours/restaurants/bars, all mostly in walking distance. Was not happy with my room initially and the front desk upgraded me at no extra charge. Amazing hospitality, would definitely stay here again!

Not a fan of the pillows, but that is just personal preference. My only complaint is the room we were given was right next to the elevators for that floor so it was a bit noisy in the mornings and woke me up every morning.

The front desk employee LJ was nothing short of exceptional! I came to this hotel after staying one night at another with concerns and she gave me nothing less than 5 star level service. I stayed in room 2901, LJ allowed me and my family to check in early and our housekeeping attendant BABY was one of a kind! I hate i didn't get her name but her personality was inviting, her customer service was 5 start and she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing less than rememberable. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone and I'm excited to say I'll be revisiting this hotel soon! Thanks again for showing us top level hospitality it truly made our vacation even more magical!

This is a beautiful hotel. Very clean. Almost everyone we encountered on staff was pleasant. The gym equipment was way more than I expected. My room was clean and spacious. The location can’t be beat; so close to everything! I definitely recommend staying here.

Convenient to a lot of things and hotel felt very nice (well-decorated, etc). We were placed right across from the elevator (which I don’t understand a hotel having any rooms that close) and it was awful. There were people being loud and smoking weed, going up and down in the elevator from our floor and it was as if they were in our room - it was so loud. We didn’t sleep at all. We had to put a towel over the door crack to try and keep the marijuana smell from continuing to come into our room. Certainly ensured I’d never stay in a room near the elevator again, in any hotel (but most that I’ve stayed in don’t have rooms directly next to and across from the elevators - terrible design). Also the shower head is a rain shower head only - not good at all for people who don’t want their hair getting wet every shower. Overall, the hotel was nice but we personally wouldn’t stay here again.

If you are wanting to self-park good luck. They won’t tell you where the parking lot is at because they want you to pay for valet. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was clean and very comfortable. Go somewhere else for breakfast, there are please of places near by! the food available at the property is not good and overpriced!

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was centrally located, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our suite was very nicely decorated, spacious and had an excellent view. The staff came promptly when we called to ask for bedding for the sofa bed, more towels, etc. The only complaint was two of the extra sheets we requested for the sofa bed had stains on them and we could clearly hear our neighbors in the hallway. Overall, we would stay here again. We reserved our suite through Expedia and felt it was reasonably priced.

El peor hotel ,mi esposa e hijo sufrimos de un tipo de discriminación o racismo al ser latinos empecemos con que mi esposa llegó con mi bebé a las 2 de la mañana y nos dijeron que el sistema se cierra a las 12 de la noche y que no les podían dar el cuarto de una forma grosera que por la hora que se tenían que esperar hasta al otro día , mi hasta que mi esposa se tuvo que poner exigente y después de una hora , el frío y los malos tratos (racismo) le dieron el cuarto, todo esto no aparece en las políticas del hotel de que si llegas después de las 12 de la noche no te dan el cuarto ,así que infringieron en sus políticos y es un tema legal grave, sin quitar la discriminación que sufrió d por parte de una persona que es latina de nombre victoria y que aparte hablaba español mismo que nunca supimos , no entiendo el porqué de tratarnos así y dejar una hora a una mujer y un bebé en una silla en el lobby , acto seguido durante la estancia se les pidió que hicieran el cuarto y no lo hicieron los primeros dos días , la causa no la sabemos quizá ya era un tema personal por habernos quejado con Expedia por el tema del cuarto , ya que gracias ellos nos dieron el cuarto a las 3 am sino no los hubieran dado , acto seguido el día viernes desde las 8 am estuvieron acosando a mi esposa con llamadas en donde le reclamaron porque habíamos llamados Expedia y porque habíamos dicho que nos habían maltratado y hoy al salir nos están cobrando 46 usd de más, nunca ocupen este hotel,vamos a demandar

Buenos días, nos disculpamos por la experiencia que tuvo en el Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown. Nos tomamos en serio sus comentarios; sin embargo, solo estuvo esperando en el lobby para registrarse durante menos de 10 minutos. Entendemos que esto aún puede ser un inconveniente, pero en ningún momento nuestro equipo fue racista y discriminatorio contra usted o su familia. Incluso cuando habló con nuestro Gerente General, hemos tomado las medidas adecuadas para garantizar que se hayan atendido sus comentarios.
