'We loved our stay at Rose and Crown! The staff were so friendly. Our room had so much character, and was bigger than we would have expected. It was quite comfortable and surprisingly quiet (we were there midweek on a slightly rainy day). We also ate at the pub and really enjoyed our meal. We would stay again!'

'Stayed for one night in one of the standard double rooms. All the staff from check-in to check-out were friendly & helpful, the room itself was perfect (lots of space in the room, has a desk and tv, bed was comfy, shower was a lot bigger then we expected very modern, it had a small fridge and everything was clean). Restaurant & bar downstairs which was really good. Just remember there is no lift (which they state on the listing) if you come with heavy/lots of bags. This was no bother to us...

'Brilliant for hiking and visiting Guildford. Staff were pleasant and friendly. The food is quite expensive, though and initially I was charged for a glass of wine that was part of my menu. No fuss about it, however, and the bill was rectified. Good overall experience!'

'Had a great stay atvyhe Hurtwood. Found it by chance. Great village with plenty of walking direct in to the Surrey Hills as directed by the lovely lady who checked us in. Room very comfortable with fresh milk provided. We found the car park easy for a big car, but would not be so easy in season I think. Dinner in the bar was excellent and good portions. Breakfast cooked to order also great. Will go again. Thank you.'
