Rustic one bedroom, 4 room cabin in Chimney Rock. Living room, bedroom, small kitchen and an extra room with a comfortable hybrid spring futon on frame can be used for additional sleeping space. I usually only make up the queen bed for two guests, if you are two people and need two beds, please request two beds. Enjoy some relaxing time away from it all! It is a short downhill walk down to Chimney Rock, Lake Lure Flowering Bridge or a very short drive (30 minute walk) to Lake Lure to fish, boat, kayak, SUP, walk or lay on the beach. Just down the road is Burntshirt winery or Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery at Chimney Rock. Also various restaurants, ice cream shop, coffee shop and touristy shops. The cabin was built in the 1940’s so it has the rustic feel but with enough amenities to make you feel at home. The kitchen has a microwave, full size refrigerator, toaster oven, dual burner hot plate, coffee maker, pots and pans and various cooking utensils.There are two screened covered porches to relax and have your coffee, enjoy meals on the back porch where the dining table has 4 chairs and catch the breeze. As the photos show the only access to the cabin is a set of fairly steep uneven stone steps. Best to arrive in daylight although stairs are lit w solar lights.
***may not be the best rental choice for those with knee, hip or balance challenges.***
We have only one parking spot mandated by the Town of Chimney Rock, no exceptions.

This Cabin is in nature with all of nature’s creatures. There is a possibility to see lizards, snakes, mice, bugs and an occasional bear.
This is a quiet neighborhood so be mindful of neighbors and noise. Please be quiet after 9:30 p.m. and before 9:00 a.m. Thanks!
All pets must be potty trained. Clean up any feces on premises.

Perfect getaway

Absolutely loved this little cabin! Was the most perfect getaway. Secluded and quiet, but still close enough to walk to the town of Chimney Rock and drive to Lake Lure. The screened in back porch was perfect to just sit and relax with great a breeze!! Everything was just as described, rustic and cozy. We will definitely be back to stay again.

Bad Choice For Comfort

AC is only in the common area. Other two rooms (including the bedroom) doesn't cool off even with a ceiling fan. Some the stairs made of rocks that lead up to the entrance are loose and it's a sketchy walk up. Staircase is over grown and not maintained very well. Property is very cramped and not inviting at all The small furniture and small bed were very disappointing and uncomfortable. Host barely communicated and there is no cell service at the property. Listing doesn't mention anything to inform the renters about what to expect (probably on purpose). We had to guess what to do when checking out so we didn't get charged extra if something wasn't done. We tried to make the best of it but this rental ended up being a bad choice.

Excellent getaway

This was a wonderful place for my wife and I to spend an evening in Chimney Rock. It was conveniently located, fully stocked, internet works great! The patio is amazing!!! The stairs are a little precarious, so pack light because you will not want to be hauling luggage up and down.

Great, Cozy Stay

This was a great landing spot for a family reunion in the area. The cabin was as described in the listing. It was clean, cozy, and well-stocked for a weekend stay. The cabin was just right for two adults and a toddler, who only needed a little help going up and down the stone steps. Location was terrific, would certainly recommend!

Cute and cozy

This is the third time we've stayed at this charming cabin with our dog. The location is great, a walk to Chimney Rock and a short drive to Asheville. The stone steps would not be good for someone unsure of their footing. The cabin is well laid out so it feels roomy and always spotlessly clean. There are two ample screened porches, front and back, so pup has a lot of room to roam around. Definitely recommend.
