'A lovely thatched roof pub with sitting out area. The lady was so lovely and welcoming we can’t remember her name but she lived right by the pub. The room was lovely, a nice comfortable bed, lovely pillows and lovely and clean. The lady who was cleaning the rooms was on her own that day and we asked if we could check in early the day before. She worked wonders our rooms was spotless. We had a lovely stay with a great breakfast. Will definitely go back. We had three rooms and '

'Unfortunately we only had a one night stay at the Lorna Doone hotel in Porlock. The Hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of the village with all nice shops nearby. Staff is uber-friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. Next time I hope we can stay a bit longer.'

'I had a really wonderful time staying here. The breakfast was very tasty, the garden was beautiful and I felt really looked after. I would definitely come back again! Only small issue was the parking. Luckily it is not busy so there is parking at the back but I can feel this might come to issue since it's a small car park and you dont want to park on the side of the road but tbh this is very minor and it's a bit nitpicking as I have really enjoyed my stay.'

'We arrived at the Sawmills having made a last minute booking. On arrival we noticed the room was immaculately clean. Despite our booking being a dog friendly room, there wasn't a dog hair in site. Theo and the team couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. We had a lovely evening meal and drinks in the garden, slept like logs and then an amazing breakfast next morning.
