'Beautiful old world hotel in a great location for exploring York. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful - every staff member we encountered was simply outstanding. '

A very easy stroll into York City. Everything you could want in a stay. Breakfast was very generous. And laundry dervice provided on request.'
'We had a lovely stay here. The staff were wonderful and accommating, gave us tips on places and restaurants to go to. Its only a short walk to the centre and to the riverside - extremely convenient.
Breakfast was lovely with plenty of options and fresh bread each morning - 3 different kinds!
Downsides - The walls were thin and on our last night we could hear the room next to us snoring. Also we had a problem with parking where all spaces were taken due to an event so we had to drive out of...

De eigenaren zijn ontzettend aardig en heel hulpvaardig.
Nadeel was het bed; voor ons was het matras te zacht en wat kort. '

'Don't drive, arrive by train and everything can be walked from here. Vibrant city centre location so can be noisy at night. Room standards vary from the amazing to the basic so worth paying more. 4* as we got a basic room night 1 but then they moved us to amazing room! Food and staff were really 5*.'
'This place was great! We were having trouble getting in and our host immediately responded to our call and walked us through the process. Once inside, we found a spotless apartment with super comfortable beds. Showers were great, as was the washer/dryer for our clothes. Having a FREE parking space was really nice, too.
The place was really close to all of the main attractions of York, as well. We were able to walk to just about everywhere we wanted to see. '

'A very nice little flat 10 minutes walk away from the city centre.
Lovely thick carpets. The main bedroom is very nice indeed. Comfortable bed. Effective fan provided which was a godsend during hot weather. Kids bedroom was nice too and they loved the bunk bed set up, which was solid.
There is outdoor space however it is shared and a small shadowy courtyard. Doesn't look used at all.
The flat is a funny layout. We slept in the main room which is at the front of the flat and the kids room is...

"heel net en comfortabel hotel, enkel de trapjes naar onze kamer op de tweede verdieping wwaren smal en beetje ongemakkelijk met onze koffers."
"Prettig hotel. Kamersleutel nodig om lift te bedienen en trappenhuis te openen vanaf begane grond. Dat vind ik een prima beveiliging, hoewel niet waterdicht. Engels ontbijt, mag wat meer continentaal. Vriendelijk personeel. Schoonmaak goed. We hebben een uitstekend verblijf gehad."

However, Housekeeping left our door open by accident and it stayed like this the whole day until we came back late at night. We're lucky that nothing was stolen, but this could've ended very differently... That's why I can't give a higher rating. "
