Yay for Cincinnati!!!! And Covington!!!!

Thanks Marja! It says a lot at the end of your review that you would stay here again. Always glad to hear that! Many of the things you mentioned are in the listing that all guests should acknowledge before booking. This is called Tres House (Tres for 3) and the opening line description is three floors of space. I would definitely encourage people to acknowledge and read about the layout of this home. In our rules it says must be able to climb stairs. Also described is the parking situation. We always joke that four parking spots in the city is like gold and we are lucky to have them. It is tight, but we have had large SUVs, U-Haul moving vans and Sprinters stay with us and come in and out of those spots. It really depends on the car, the driver and what car is parked next to you at the given time of stay. Anytime a guest has difficulties getting in and out of the house, I would hope they would contact us for assistance because we can help. The guests before and after did not have any issues nor did we when we were cleaning after your departure. Sorry if you had trouble with your code. We are always available around the clock for questions and troubleshooting. Please do not mistake the age of an 1860 as being in need of repair. The staircase and floors are all original, and in perfect working order, secure, safe and upon inspection I can’t figure out what would be loose. Restaurants are literally less than a 10 minute walk no matter which way you go. Thank you so much for appreciating the decorating :-) and thank you for all the feedback.

We do list this property as an urban escape in the thriving city with diversity. Guests love our location because it’s a hop & a skip away from downtown Cincinnati (but we have free parking!!)

Thank you so much Meg for the wonderful review, five stars, and the great feedback. For licensing in Covington and safety, I am required to have smoke detectors in the bedrooms. You were the first person to ever mention the lights. I’ve even stayed there myself and didn’t notice. Both bedrooms have full blinds on all of the windows. Definitely a good note to other Guests, who are super sensitive to light, to perhaps bring their sleep mask because of the outdoor lights and smoke detectors. I really appreciate that feedback. Yeah, we are just happy our houses are surviving this extremely hot weather that is hitting the entire country… It has been a real feel of 100°. On days like that we will leave the AC running 24 hours especially on the third floor. I’m guessing you had Piper’s fun icecream in the MainStrasse village, or our famous Graeter’s ice cream. Either way you can’t go wrong!

We always appreciate feedback and recommendations, so thank you. This house was built in 1860 so the floors and banisters are ORIGINAL …. We are certain there is nothing unsafe about them. There are deadbolt locks on both doors, and they function properly. We’ve owned the property for nearly 30 years and never have had issues. There is a vent in the third floor bathroom because of the shower …. that is where it is needed. We decided to not install a vent in the half bathroom since moisture is not an issue there. In regards to deep cleaning: we have over 2,000 five-star glowing reviews on cleanliness combined on the two platforms we rent on. Thank you for pointing out that there are cobwebs above one door, we will be sure to tend to them. Mind you, the ceilings are 12-feet high. We actually carry around a pole with a duster on it. We must have missed a cobweb. One day there aren’t any and the next day one pops up …. That’s how cobwebs happen in houses. Oops! Sorry about that. We really appreciate the written correspondence we had with you during your stay and when we met your friend outside. You BOTH commented on how wonderful the place was, and how you were absolutely enjoying every bit of it. It seems to us that everything was great until we messaged you shortly after check-out regarding an incident that occurred from someone in your group. We just had questions about what happened so we could properly fix it / clean it. We didn’t make a claim; we didn’t take money out of your deposit for it; but we understood accidents happen. The response we received upon our inquiry was very defensive and we can’t help but to wonder if this is a little bit of anger or retaliation? Again, we are absolutely open to constructive criticism and we always strive to do even better, but you didn’t mention any of your concerns when we ran into you or checked in with you throughout your stay, nor did you include any of the positive feedback in your review that was shared in person and that is very sad and unfortunate that you chose to do it this way.
