'Everything was lovely but HEADS UP - the hotel charges $7 to park in their regular parking lot, which has no gate to go through or anything. I was wondering how they knew to bill me, since I had never given them a license plate number. The nice man at the desk said that they simply charge everyone - in other words, a company which is nickel and dime-ing you. They do not mention it AT ALL when you check in but send you a separate bill for it. Just be aware.'

'It's one of those places where the pictures look much better than reality. Most of the amenities are quite old, and in my opinion, the bathroom needs renovation. The floor near the toilet also wasn't clean. What bothered me most was the strong smell of cigarettes, even though there was a sign indicating it was a non-smoking room. It's not terrible for a short stay if you're on a low budget. Breakfast was a joke - just a couple of types of granola bars, juice, and coffee machines.'

'Hotel Revival charms and has become a friend over the years. Perfect location, Mt Vernon is lovely and interesting. Maybe you will happen upon a recital at Peabody, grab a drink at Bloom's or a juice from MoreLife. The property has 107 rooms, two restaurants, a karaoke lounge, generous public spaces and a vigorous local art program. Corner rooms on the 10th and 11th floors are the best.
