This newly renovated house has 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms in Clarklake Michigan.

  • This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is located on the Clarklake Spirit trail which is a 7 & 1/2 mile trail around the lake for biking, walking and running. There are two restaurants, an ice cream shop and bike rentals on the lake. There are two public parks for swimming and sunbathing and two public launches to launch your boat or jet ski for the day in the warmer months. These areas are each a one mile drive located on the east and west ends of the lake. In the fall enjoy the beautiful colors, quiet walks and slower pace that Clarklake has to offer. In the winter months enjoy ice fishing and ice skating as the lake freezes over. The quaint town of Brooklyn and the Michigan International Speedway are five miles away. Come enjoy the many activities that Clarklake has to offer at this perfect getaway! Included with this home is a two person kayak, paddle board, fire pit with outdoor chairs and bikes to complete your perfect get away at Clarklake.

We rented the house to go to a memorial in Brooklyn/Wamplers Lake. It was a peaceful place to stay in, no issues with the house. The beds were comfortable. We didn't use all the rooms, but everything was fine. We checked in just fine. We received a code via email, dropped our bags, took the key and went out to eat. Our third guest showed up while we were out and she was accosted by who we think are the homeowners. She was told that they were not expecting anyone that day and she must be mistaken by the location. My friend called me on the phone and I had to give the code access # over speaker phone to prove we weren't trespassing. The two ladies advised my friend that she must be renting from next door because it was also a house that you can rent. After the confusion was settled, they apologized and left to go back to their home nearby. We assume it was a glitch in the system, but I must say it placed fear with our arrival and gave a slight impression we may not have been welcome. That was a brief impression and there were no more issues. I did look for instructions on how they wanted check out to go, but I couldn't find them on Expedia, Vrbo etc. I sent a message to the homeowner. We loaded the dishwasher, stripped the beds that we used, but we were unsure if that's what they wanted. All in all, stay here! There was a hiccup, but the space is comfortable and the people in the area are a pleasure. You'll see plenty of deer and you'll enjoy the nature and the stars.

The house doesn't have lake access but you could get glimpses of it. The neighborhood was quiet. The house was clean. There isn't a ton going on in Clark Lake but it was nice for a quick girls trip.

Beautiful home in a great little community

Loved walking around the lake. The home was nicely renovated and very well suited for a group of adults on a family trip. The home was comfortable, quiet, and clean. Only recommendation would be to bring your own pillows if possible - they were not the best, but everything else about the home was great!

Amazing Getaway at the Lake

My husband, son and I had a great time at Clarklake and this cottage was the perfect place to stay! The cottage is SUPER cute, decorated with just the right cottage vibe to make it feel like you got away. Everything was very clean with ample towels and extra bedding. Super spacious with 4 bedrooms, this is the place to stay! Definitely will book again!

Bright, spacious and homey!

This home is bright during the day with its windows and sliding glass doors. It had plenty of room for our family and we felt right at home. We look forward to returning again some day!

Pool tournament weekend

We had a pool tournament in Jackson with our team of eight people. We wanted to all stay together. The house worked out perfect. We all potlucked food for the weekend, all couples had their own room. After playing we all got to hang out, eat, play cornhole, watch tv and just have fun. We will definitely do this again.

Beautiful cozy home

The cottage was very cute and clean. Plenty of room in each of the bedrooms. Lake was close. isolated but we liked that. The cottage needed more kitchen, hand towels. Did not affect how great our stay was. Also, blinds or drapes in the living area would be more private! Overall, it was fabulous!

What a great family stay!

This house is so cute, decorated nicely and very accommodating! A home away from home! Much more room inside then it appears from the outside. Plenty of room for our adult family of 5! Our stay was over the Christmas and New Year holiday and so there was no use of the summer fun but we cozied up and watched movies and played games in between visiting family! We will definitely be back and Heather was beyond helpful and so easy to work with!

Great rental

We had a wonderful trip to Clark Lake. Heather was a responsive and kind host ahead of and during our visit. The house was perfectly located, as we could walk to the wedding we were attending. The fall colors were beautiful, but it would be a great place to spend a summer weekend at the lake too! Would visit again.

The house is recently renovated, and nicely sized for adults or a family. Check-in and check-out was easy, and Heather was flexible and accomodated our two requests. The house itself is not directly on the water, and we did not find direct neighborhood access to the water, but we weren't actually looking.

Beautiful lake house.

This is a very interesting restored lake house and we learned the history from the owner who stays nearby. The beds are comfortable, plenty of towels and the kitchen was open and inviting. Highly recommend this lovely home.
