Everything was pretty much fine. Only complaint was everyone the furnace kicked on it was pretty loud. Seemed clean in room.

We were given a "non-smoking" room that smelled so badly of cigarette smoke that it was kind of nasty. We are not smokers.

We were first given a room that was "adjacent" to the building - no way - the room was in a parking lot - wanted to use the pool and it was 30 degrees - we were not going to be walking outside. The individual that greeted us never made eye contact, could hardly hear her and was not friendly like all your posters said your employees were - they did have a great breakfast. Will not stay there again and will not suggest.

Great stay
The girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful. We took their shuttle to the Surf for a concert, and the shuttle driver was very nice too. The room and the hotel smelled good and was very clean. The beds were comfy too

Nice hotel. It was located in a convenient location to the Surf Ballroom and it was nice that the hotel provided a shuttle to the concert.

It's a Kinseth Hotel Property
As by the title, as soon as I realized it was owned and operated by Kinseth I knew the quality of the ownership, having done business with them in the past. So, admittedly, I'm biased. I stayed in this property 20+ years ago and had a favorable experience so when the opportunity came up that necessitated for me to spend the night in Clear Lake I chose this hotel. Not worth the price. This was the most expensive hotel that was posted on hotels.com for this area. For this price, in my travelling experience, one would expect more modern conviences (i.e. direct USB plug in's for devices, better TV interface, a bathroom with upgraded shower heads). We constantly needed to jiggle the toilet handle to keep it from running. Caulking and damage repair was noticably visible in the bathroom Needed to return to our vehicle to retrieve power plugs for charging devices. Positives: The Post it note for 20% off in Bennigan's restaurant was appreciated. The breakfast buffet wasn't bad, something I hadn't experienced before, a rotating daily breakfast offering. Saturday morning was make your own breakfast burrito. Bottom line is that there are more affordable, updated newer hotels in the area. Take a look at those.

Staff was friendly and hotel was clean which was appreciated. Took a few minutes to get warm water for the shower, toilet handle had to be held down while flushing to flush completely, and mattress was a little hard. Other than those items, the staff made it a pleasant stay.

We had to drive around to the back of the property to get to the room which was in a separate building and connected by a tunnel. The on-site restaurant had a limited menu and bar closed by 9 pm.

Staff was kind and property was okay, but the overall area is pretty rough. Most of the people were in the hallway and drinking and loud all night, felt like a dorm or a low end hotel. We only needed it for one night but we definitely heard everything. Thin walls and the cleaning staff were yelling at each other down the hall in the early am, pretty odd overall.
