Great place and comfortable

Memories in a historical cottage
A homey ambience with historical impact along with modern technology and comforts. From natural woodwork to internet tv. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there with family and holiday meal. Convenient location, near the river and access to highways, great restaurants and grocery stores. Will remember to check out availability again when visiting.

Home away from home
This place is quickly becoming out home away from home - perfect for when we’re in Clinton visiting family. Celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday and had plenty of room to host the family and cook dinner for all. A lovely and comfortable place!

Welcoming Stay
Welcoming from the moment we turned the key. The property was already decorated for the holidays. Our boys were in town for a funeral, it was all the comfort of home that they needed. We loved the this beautiful century home house and look forward to staying again!

This was a very homey stay. Beautiful natural light in the morning! Extremely comfortable couch, beds, pillows, and blankets! The house was full of all the possible amenities you could need; including a piano!

When we walked in the door the Christmas tree was set up and lit up and there were Christmas decorations around the house! We just moved here from Texas and had to stay at this property for 3 weeks while we waited for our new house to close and it felt like home and had everything we needed!

The Kruse Cottage was a great place to stay in Clinton … it was very comfortable, with all the amenities of home. It’s in a convenient location and just a couple blocks from a grocery store. The trains do go nearby a few times a day, but the noise from their horns didn’t bother us.

Comfortable Cottage
We were in Clinton to ride the Great River Trail. This cottage was conveniently located and comfortable. Owners were responsive and easy to work with. The advantages of this property include: off-street parking, updated kitchen and bath, comfortable bed and pillows, and a great porch. The disadvantage was the railroad that was only a couple of blocks away and 3 to 4 trains came through every night, blowing the horn at several intersections.

I really appreciate having a nice place to stay when I visit family in Clinton. This home has great period charm and is lovingly maintained. It is central to everything in Clinton. Highly recommended.

Great Cottage
We were only there for one night - but it was perfect for the night we were there. I especially liked the king bed - sometimes those are hard to find in rentals. Cute cottage and will definitely stay again when I'm back visiting family.

I absolutely loved this house. It's a fantastic craftsman, and the updates have been so well done to keep with the era. Everything was great about my stay, from the check-in process, the welcoming basket of treats to the ease of the check-out. I would highly recommend this spot for any guests in Clinton.

Such a lovely cottage! Wow! Warm and welcoming right from the start, notably the front porch decor, basket of snacks on the dining table and a comfortable air temperature set for our arrival. The cottage has the interesting character of a historical home, extremely well cared for, paired with updated, stylish decor. It could not have been cleaner or more comfortable. Everything was perfect. We are incredibly thankful to our hosts for allowing us to stay in their property.

Comfortable Little Cottage!
We enjoyed our stay at this quaint little cottage. It was the perfect place for my hubby and me. Our son was even able to join us so that made it the ideal place as well. I’d recommend this for anyone need a smaller home with everything you need!
