My recent experience at this property was unfortunately quite disappointing. Initially, I canceled my reservation at another hotel when I saw the reasonable prices at LaQuinta, but I should’ve known it was too good to be true.
First, I observed drifters hanging around the premises at various times of the day and night, which made me feel uneasy. Additionally, my hotel room key required reprogramming multiple times, even between short trips.
The baseboards in the bathroom had peeling paint, and the showerhead and toilet were rusted. One lamp continuously flickered on and off, and the legs of the ironing board were rusted and broken off making it unusable.
Most troubling was the cleanliness of the room. I reported to the front desk that there were small ants in the bed and requested housekeeping to clean and vacuum the room. However, when I returned, it was apparent that only the bed had been made, and the sheets had not been changed, as the same stain was still present. To add to the inconvenience, there was no hot water for two out of the three nights of my stay.
I am genuinely baffled as to how this property can be considered part of the Wyndham hotel and resort chain, as the standards were far below what I have come to expect. This experience felt more like staying at a subpar motel rather than a reputable hotel.
I hope these concerns are taken seriously and addressed to prevent future guests from experiencing the same level of dissatisfaction.
