This fun & unique layout consists of 4 individual cottages; each have their own bathroom, own kitchen, and own bedroom(s) with the main house family room and large deck to gather! This cottage would be perfect for a group of friends and large family with older children wanting their own space.
We have updated many parts of the cottage (see pictures) and continue to do so, however the cottage will show its age and character at times. If you are looking for an upscale, posh experience, this may not be the best option for you. However, if you are looking for a clean , comfortable, unique, FUN, & affordable space, very close to beaches, sitting on ~1-acre of green land and well-positioned between Saint Joseph & South Haven (in a quiet area of Hagar Shores), with all of the amenities of a home, this is a great option for your stay!
This interesting memory-making layout consists of 4 individual cottages. Each cottage is equipped with bedroom(s), full bathroom (shower only), full kitchen, and gathering areas. The brand new 450 sq ft deck with propane grill outside of A offers the perfect gathering spot along with the multiple fire pits and picnic tables throughout the property. There are also charcoal grilles available if desired.
Cottage A: Master bedroom with King bed and desk, upstairs loft bedroom with 4 twin beds, family room with 55" Amazon FireTV, dine-in table for 4, full bath, full kitchen, Brand New ~450 sq ft outdoor deck. Window A/Cs units provide cool air throughout
Cottage B: Master bedroom with new luxury queen bed, smartTV with Roku, full kitchen with dine-in eating area, and full bathroom with shower. Window A/C unit provides cool air throughout.
Cottage C: Studio style, with new queen bed, SmartTV with Roku, new bar area for eating and preparation, full kitchen with mini-fridge, and full bathroom with shower. Window A/C unit provides cool air throughout.
Cottage D: Master bedroom with brand new luxury queen bed, 2nd bedroom with trundle bed (2x twin beds, one pulls out below), family room with SmartTV Roku, full kitchen with coffee bar, and full bathroom with shower.
Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN are provided!
Free access to full washer and dryer in laundry room, bring your own detergent.
This property is situated on a nice ~1 acre parcel and there is plenty of open space outside for activities and big shade trees. BRAND NEW 450 sq ft deck added this year with 10 person outdoor table and propane grill.
You will receive an email the day of arrival with your electronic keypad code for contactless & keyless entry.
We provide a curated 'Guest Info Book' inside each cottage, which gives helpful information about each cottage as well as "A Local's Guide" to our favorite activities in the area (including rainy day activities)!
There is a propane grill onsite (propane provided), a fire pit (wood available at most gas stations or along the side of the road), and picnic tables for a relaxing evening outsite. There are hammocks along with lots of yard games available for use!
No interaction is needed unless requested by the guest. My phone number is listed in the Guest Info Booklet inside each cottage.
Known for its sandy beaches and dense woods, Hagar Shores is conveniently located right north of Saint Joseph and just south of South Haven. There is a pizza & burger place right across the street that is walkable. There is also a Dollar General about a 1/2 mile up the road for any last minute needs.
The cottage sits right off of two lane highway M-63. M-63/Blue Star Highway offers the scenic route connecting St. Joseph and South Haven. Along this route you will have convenient access to free public beaches , state parks and bike trails. While our area is generally a quiet location, the convenient Blue Star Highway may have peak times of road noise.
Driving is the most convenient and will allow you to experience neighboring beach towns, wineries, and breweries. All locations in the area have ample parking available onsite. Biking is also possible, however with limited destinations (1-2 beach access, Dollar General, DiMaggio's Restaurant)
This property reminds us of the cozy cottages that we used to stay in when traveling to this area. Built decades ago and newly renovated, this cottage offers all of the amenities you need while reserving the relaxed, quaint setting that you yearn for when visiting the lake.
