Booked directly with the hotel reservations line and provided all my info. Purchased the room. We were on the way from a 12 hour drive. We didn’t arrive until 2AM, when I walked in, there’s one front desk rep and she stated unfortunately they are sold out and can’t accommodate us, despite the reservation being made and paid for. So she turned us away. We were exhausted from driving from a different state, 12 hours. The explanation was very brief and they never sent us a email prior to or even gave us a call to explain the changes. I had to show up for her to tell me and turn me away.
I rebooked through Expedia and arrived at 12P, the front desk rep said there’s no early check in and I’d have to pay $50. She said I have to wait till 3P. I left, came back at 2:45. She said unfortunately, the rooms aren’t ready yet and she’s waiting for another team member to confirm on what rooms are ready. At this time it’s 2:58P. There’s multiple guests waiting to check in and get a room key. She’s nervous because she was told there are no clean towels in any of the rooms. All of the guests say out loud that it’s okay, they will come back down to retrieve them because everyone wants to check in. I also agreed. She gave us our keys and I went up to my room.
Clean at first sight until you walk in more. The comforter had stuff on it, the floors had hair, killed 5+ flies, they had no towels, had to use their pool towels the whole stay, breakfast was underwhelming, rusted bathrooms.
