Extremely unacceptable stay I booked through Expedia after relying on the positive reviews. Based on my experience, I seriously question the accuracy of those reviews.
I traveled six hours, trusting your brand. Upon arrival, I noticed the continental breakfast area had dusty, dirty tables. When I entered my room, I was hit with a strong cigarette smoke odor despite signing a no-smoking agreement.
I returned to the front desk, and the manager acknowledged the issue but stated the hotel and surrounding area were fully booked. He moved me to another room, which still smelled strongly of smoke, just slightly less.
D/t time constraints and no availability elsewhere, I had no choice but to stay. Once inside, I found serious cleanliness and safety concerns, including:
Heavy dust and dirt throughout
Burn holes in sheets and comforters
Smoke detector ripped from the wall and left in the safe
Broken light bulbs with exposed stubs (electrical hazard)
Dirty, stained lampshades, walls
Cracked and deteriorating bathroom ceiling
Unsanitary conditions, including human waste on the walls
Damaged toilet seat with burn marks
Loose, unstable faucet
These pose clear health and safety risks. I felt unsafe and left early after minimal sleep.
