'Joyless service at breakfast. No menu. Very basic - nothing fresh - no fruit, yoghurt, tomato, mushrooms…
Had to ask for toast and marmalade as none was offered. Disappointing.
When we were asked was everything okay we mentioned two lights weren’t working in the room and we had trouble turning off the cold tap - they were defensive and dismissive saying ‘there’s nothing wrong with the tap’!'

'Owner met us at the property , she is so friendly and helpful. She gave us ideas where to go and lives nearby if you do need anything.
Easter cakes and chocolate had been left for us together with milk for that first all important cuppa.
The cottage was immaculately clean
Well equipped kitchen.
Plenty of towels and hot water
Beautiful setting in a small village with a homely pub across the road that does great food '
