Lucky Dog Cafe and the other restaurants usually open around the start of trout fishing season (mid April) through beginning of May. We lost some year round restaurants during covid, but rumor has it that there is one in the works. And Confluence just got a distillery--doesn't help with dinner, but businesses are popping up.

So great to hear! We strive for a "immaculately clean!" rating. Glad to hear that you all had a great stay and found some yummy places to eat, even in the off season. And we also appreciate that you all left the Treehouse in great condition.

We are terrible sorry to hear that you had issues with the Treehouse. Regarding the stairs, I would like to clarify because I don't think that "stairs everywhere" is very accurate. The house has no stairs to enter the main floor (full bathroom, kitchen, living room) and none to access the deck from the inside. Of course there are steps up to the deck if you enter from the side yard. There is a step up to a landing from the main floor to the 2 bedrooms. And steps to the loft space. Regarding the mice and mattress pad, all is taken care of. The mattress pads were almost brand new but we did find 1 stain on 1 and it's been replaced. The Treehouse does not have a dining room or a great spot for a dining table. The island bar is great but we do have a folding table and chairs in case guests would like to sit at a table. Mice are unfortunately a problem in the mountains in the woods this time of year. We are extremely proactive about keeping them out and we have a service that comes as well. We just discovered that when we had some work done in the basement that the contractor didn't seal up an access panel and they must have come in. It's no longer an issue and we are very sorry that you experienced this. I wish you had contacted us during your visit, as we would have taken care of everything-- but the stairs.
