I am so happy to hear that you and your family were pleased with the property. I do my best to stay out of the way when guests are present and confine my activities to making sure the pool is cleaned and disinfected, but soon I am going to rent out the entire space, upstairs and downstairs. You truly used the property as it was intended and it was a pleasure to host you and your family. I do hope you come back. More renovations and upgrades are occurring every month. Warm regards.

I always want my guests to be comfortable with their stay. In the years I have provided vacation housing on various platforms, this is the first time I have had the sort of complaint listed. While a few issues are valid, most of them are simply a matter of preference. As a host who wants to make her guests happy, I had to walk a fine line between trying to rectify her perceived issues and not feel as if I am being threatened with a bad review by someone who simply wants to pay less money. All of my properties, including this one, are cleaned by professional cleaning companies. At no time has the unit been empty for longer than one week. It is listed on several platforms and is continually in rotation. My cleaning company is responsible for cleaning the entire unit and the sheets, blankets and towels. When Shelisha called me down to the unit, there was a small pile of dirt, sand and dust in the middle of the floor. Shelisha had removed all of the couches and chairs from the walls and removed all of the carpets off of the floor and swept what she found in the middle of the floor. She had also taken all of the clean dishes out of the cabinets and complained that everything had to be re-cleaned. I can honestly say that I don't know if my cleaning company consistently cleans BEHIND the couches and UNDER the couches. If what I saw was truly from under and behind the couches, then I will definitely make sure my cleaners check these more thoroughly. My property is in the country/woods. There will be bugs. The good thing is that they will be dead! I don't like using pesticides to kill the bugs that crawl or fly into the unit, so I hire organic pest controllers to use non-toxic agents to kill the bugs that make it into the unit. Spiders, beetles, bees, lizards, caterpillars, etc, are a natural part of the environment in our area, so most people who come to my space are prepared for this fact. You can sweep bugs everyday because they find a way in, but they don't live long once they cross the barrier. I asked one of the guests in her group to let me know if she smelled any odors on her bedding, carpet or the room in general. She said no. Shelisha appeared to be the main person irritated by the space. Kindness and respect go a long way. This was not shown to me and I could not in good conscience agree to a refund after the treatment I received. I suspect other agendas were at play. Either way, I did not enjoy hosting her group. I wish them well.
