We are flawed humans and greatly appreciate dealing with other humans who understand this. During a very challenging time for us, we made a serious mistake with Randall's communication, but did what was necessary to earn his 5-star rating.

We appreciate our guests leaving feedback so that we can do a better job in the future. We do listen, and act as we are able. The offending bed has been replaced, though we find it difficult to please everyone with the same style of bed, which is why we have offered a selection. Absence of TV is clearly shown on our listing. While some people choose not to stay at our place because of it, the experience we provide is greatly appreciated by many. We communicate the best we can. This particular situation happened in the middle of us preparing shelters for expectant farm animal shelters for inclement extreme weather. We jumped the CHA issue as soon as we were notified of it, but were out of range for much of the day as we scrambled to prevent life-threatening emergencies at other places, while still attending to the unexpected situation with the central heat.

Thank you for letting us know about the lighting issues. Since we don't live there, we rely on the comments of our guests to help us 'see' things that we otherwise wouldn't.

Our welcome message clearly requests that we be notified of any problems immediately so that we can have a chance to earn your 5-star rating. Lack of communication on the part of a guest is not justification for leaving a poor rating. We don't interfere with our guests stay unless there is good reason. We do have a shop on the property that we occasionally (very rarely) need to access through the driveway, but always check with the guest first to make sure it's not a problem for them. We appreciate honest, grateful guests.

The experience we provide at our place is intentionally back to a former, more peaceful time, back when we all spent more time in nature. By not making it easy to watch TV, our guests are more prone to enjoy the peaceful outdoors, including the wildlife that often visit. Come and trade TV time for bird and possibly even deer watching. Please make us aware of any concerns DURING your stay so that we can be of assistance. We want all of our guests to have a 5 star experience! The front door lock is vintage and from the outside, must be locked with a key. From the inside, it is deadbolted when the button is at an angle, but becomes unlocked simply by turning the knob. Since there is a new coded entry system at the sunroom near the driveway, there is no reason to need to exit from the front door.

We're glad when guests experience the same benefits that we experience at our place.

Most of our guests find that our place merits 5 stars. When staying with us, please notify us immediately if you find it deserves less, so that we have a chance to take care of it.
