Location was good, in a walkable area. However, upon check-in, we were given keys to our room which was still occupied. We walked into a room that had suit cases open, personal items all over the place. This didn’t fill us with confidence as you can only imagine it happening to yourself too, imagine someone had been showering?! We told check in staff and they didn’t seem too bothered, we felt like they reluctantly apologised and “upgraded” us to a room which was miles away from reception and was actually smaller than our original occupied room…it’s of course a budget hotel so no kettle, phone or security box in the room etc but the check in fiasco was quite worrying and didn’t feel like a safe space :(
