Het huis ligt naast de middeleeuwse poort van Portillo, open voor de oude islamitische wijken van de medina en Axerquía communiceren. In het nabijgelegen Plaza Mayor de la Corredera, sociale ontmoetingsplaats staat de Centrale Markt. In het Plaza del Potro, bevinden ze zich het Museum voor Schone Kunsten, Julio Romero de Torres Museum en de Posada del Potro, de huidige Municipal Center Flamenco live optredens. Het gebied wordt omgeven door de klassieke tavernes, gevarieerde en innovatieve gerechten, drankjes sites met grote terrassen met uitzicht op de rivier, die is geconfigureerd als een groot natuurgebied geschikt voor ontspanning en recreatie.
Casa La Carmen.
Het zuiden, met directe toegang vanaf de straat, is het huis verdeeld in drie verschillende niveaus, waarbij elke kamer ligt.
Hal, woonkamer en keuken op de begane grond, een aparte badkamer en slaapkamer op de eerste verdieping en een slaapkamer, een open ruimte met aparte bedden op de tweede verdieping.
Het huis is ingericht met een zeer persoonlijke esthetiek waar de details en natuurlijke materialen (hout, steen en klei), die een speciale warmte, aangevuld met kleine collecties van volkskunst en unieke elementen van etnografische in overvloed te geven, zoals schilderijen en sculpturen van de auteur. Deuren, antiek en gerestaureerd door de eigenaren, hebben kleine details die het huis een unieke en harmonieuze ruimte te maken.

Lovely house and very helpful hostess

The house was great with everything you need for a stay in Cordoba and the location is perfect. We arrived in the Eastern weekend and it was very busy in Cordoba which resulted in no place in the la Ribeira parking. We had to park the car in first instance in an area where we could not leave the car overnight. Adriana however was very helpful and organised a space in the la Ribeira parking. She also contacted the police as we had to drive through a street which was blocked due to the Eastern procession. Adriana is the perfect hostess and she will do her utmost best to ensure you will have a nice stay. Adriana, thanks a lot.

Adriana, our host was so kind and thoughtful. She met us at the apartment to explain how everything worked and gave us excellent recommendations for museums and restaurants (and helped us to phone one). There were lovely treats including fresh coffee, tea, spreads and fruit. The apartment felt special because we could imagine the people who would have lived and worked there from the 18th century (fortunately, thoughtfully modernised for us in this century- including a/c in the bedroom). The apartment is narrow and on 3 floors, with a spiral staircase joining the rooms on each floor. It’s best if you have carry-on bags or backpacks rather than big bags or you will struggle with the stairs.

Alles war für unsere Bedürfnisse und Wünsche optimal: Die Wohnung ist schon für sich ein Erlebnis - eher ein Museum als eine "normale" Ferienwohnung. Die Lage ist perfekt: Zentral, sowohl das Zentrum als auch Bushaltestellen, Restaurants und Geschäfte in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, trotzdem sehr ruhig (Seitengasse). - Alles, was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt, ist vorhanden und die sehr nette Vermieterin steht einem von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute für Tipps, Fragen und Wünsche zur Verfügung. - Einziger wichtiger Hinweis: Durch die Verteilung der Wohnung über drei Etagen, die durch steile Treppen verbunden sind, muss man halt immer ein paar Stufen bewältigen und etwas aufpassen. Aber das nahmen wir mehr als gerne für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt in Kauf!

My two teenage daughters and I spent a magical couple of days in Casa La Carmen in Cordoba during the Easter Holly Festivities. It is located perfectly close to the old town- we could see the processions from our window. Make no mistake- the place is a little antique jewel with absolutely every single detail being thought of. The passion and hospitality of Senora Adriana are unmatched. The house is like a curated doll house- perfectly comfortable and functional. We were fine with the stairs. The beds and pillows were luxurious. The antique details though out the place are one of a kind- we felt like in a very specially curated Cordoba museum- just for us. The house is super safe- bars on the window, the main door can be security locked, the shower was nice and hot. All the other modern commodities (aircon, hairdryer, electric kitchen appliances) are of high quality. Senora Adriana welcomed us like we were family with fresh fruit, coffe and other essentials all available. We have so far visited Barcelona and Granada- but our hearts we left in Cordoba! If we ever manage to come back- we will return to Casa La Carmen. Thank you so much for everything Senora Adriana!!

Die Wohnung von Adriana befindet sich inmitten der historischen Altstadt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten 2 Minuten entfernt. Die Wohnung bzw das Haus ist auf drei Ebenen in einem perfekt restaurierten Haus des 18. Jahrhunderts, sie enthält zahlreiche liebevoll präsentierte Sammelobjekte. Die Ausstattung ist sehr reichhaltig, die Sauberkeit ist absolut makellos. Adriana hat uns als perfekte Gastgeberin überrascht mit ihrer Liebenswürdigkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft, übernahm auch die Reservierung in traditionellen Restaurants, wo nur schwer Plätze zu bekommen sind. Sie machte den Aufenthalt in diesem charmanten, romantischen Haus zu einem einzigartigen Erlebnis. Sehr bald gewöhnt man sich an die etwas enge Wendeltreppe. In dem Haus ist jedes Detail innenarchitektonisch perfekt überlegt und gestaltet. Wirksame Klimaanlage, die an den noch kühlen Tagen gut funktionierte. Wir verbrachten vier großartige Tage.

Casa La Carmen has many 10* reviews and that is completely justifiable. The historic feel and attention to detail is wonderful, we had everything we needed as well as complimentary items, books to read etc. The location is ideal for exploring on foot much of what Cordoba has to offer, with lots of restaurants nearby as well. The bed was very comfortable, note that there are steep stairs and perhaps it is not suitable for the elderly or families with young children. The owner, Adriana, is a wonderful host and our check-in was filled with useful ideas and information. She also kept on touch throughout our stay and even dropped by to see us safely on our way at check-out, booking a taxi for us was helpful due to our lack of good Spanish (by the way, there do not seem to be Ubers in Cordoba). Thank-you Adriana, you really are a kind and thoughtful person, we were honoured to meet you.

Die "Casa La Carmen" ist ein wunderschönes andalusisches Haus über drei Etagen, das liebevoll restauriert wurde. Es punktet mit schönen Details, liebevoller Einrichtung und 100%iger Sauberkeit. Im obersten Stockwerk befindet sich das Schlafzimmer, das groß ist und auch über einen großen Kleiderschrank und eine gut funktionierende Klimaanlage verfügt. In der mittleren Etage befindet sich das Bad, welches ebenfalls sauber und schön ist. Dort ist auch noch ein Gästezimmer, dass wir aber nicht genutzt haben. In der unteren Etage befindet sich die Küche mit Essecke. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und alles sieht genau wie auf den Fotos aus. Ein ausgeklügeltes Lichtsystem ermöglicht es, das Licht aus verschiedenen Etagen an- und auszuschalten. Auch im Erdgeschoss gibt es eine gute Klimaanlage. Zur Begrüßung stand eine Obstschale bereit, sowie leckere Schokoriegel und Bonbons, sehr nett. Das Wasser hat Trinkwasserqualität, wir haben aber gekauftes Wasser getrunken, weil wir den leichten Chlorgeschmack nicht mögen. Es ist etwas beschwerlich, die schmalen Treppen hinauf- und hinunter zu steigen, wenn man groß ist, schon etwas älter ist oder viel Gepäck hat. Das nur zur Info. Die Besitzerin ist charmant, hilfsbereit u. bietet viele Informationen an. Am Abreisetag konnten wir unser Gepäck unterstellen, was sehr freundlich war. Leider hat die Besitzerin uns aber verweigert, auf die Toilette zu gehen als wir unser Gepäck abholten. Das fanden wir nicht so gut.

Casa La Carmen is Amazing

The property has everything you need. Very comfortable beds with air conditioning. A nice bathroom with wonderful water pressure and very hot water. And a kitchen large enouugh and equipment to share a family mean.But the host, Adianna, make the property special. Her in-person intoduction to the property was amazing. You know how you somethings just cannot figure out how to turn on the hot water....not a problem at Casa La Carmen. Adrianna walked us through every detail of the house. And whenever we had a question, she woukd respond immediately. The location was fabulous. Just a short 6-8 minute walk to the Mosque-Cathedral. And 50 reasutarants within a 1-mile radius. We had a hard time deciding where to eat because we had so many options.This is the perfect place in Cordoba for a family of 4-5. Or 3-4 friends traveling together.

Great Location

The 16th century house is well preserved and exciting to stay in. The rustic stone sink caps it. The bathroom is located on the second floor with the main bedroom, avoiding going down stairs at night. Most of the important sites are easily walked to which also makes it a little noisy at night. And there is a supper market two blocks away. Adriana, the host, is super helpful and makes you feel like family.

La casa está muy bien y es cómoda, únicamente tener en cuenta que no está preparada para personas mayores o de movilidad reducida, ya que hay que subir una escalera de Caracol muy estrecha (la maleta y tú no entran muy bien) y la bañera es muy estrecha en el baño.La ventana de la habitación no está insonorizada y se escucha mucho ruido cuando la gente camina y hace vida nocturna. Por lo demás, una casa de 10.
