La Casetta Il Focolare is part of the ancient estate Tenuta La Scure, located in Teverina in the Cortonese mountains, just a few kilometers from the border with the Umbria region. You will find yourself in a magical and enchanted place, suspended in time and nestled in the midst of lush nature and breathtaking landscapes. The ideal environment for your total relaxation vacation.
The estate consists of La Casetta Il Focolare, the owners' villa, where they live permanently with their four-legged friends, and another house (for 4 people) which is rented out to tourists. Guests of the 2 houses will have at their disposal, besides vast outdoor spaces to explore, 2 pools for common use, one of which is a decagonal pool (size 40 m2 - completely fenced) equipped with a sunbathing area, sun loungers, and umbrellas, and a pool with counter-current swimming (size 2x4 m - completely fenced), with a whirlpool seat and a gazebo with table and chairs for a family day out or an aperitif facing an endless panorama.

On-site, the owners run a small restaurant (open by reservation) where, on cool summer evenings, it will be fantastic to enjoy a typical Tuscan dinner cooked with genuine and local products. We definitely recommend booking a table and enjoying an evening in good company with a good bottle of red wine and an excellent grilled steak.
In the meadows below the pool, to the delight of your children, there are farm animals and a wild boar, which will keep you company.
The estate is reached via a small unpaved road through the woods, about 400 meters long, always well maintained but rather steep. About 12 km away you will find a small grocery store, in Cortona (15 km) shops, supermarkets, and all necessary services.

La Casetta Il Focolare has a private paved outdoor space completely fenced and equipped with a table, chairs, and a Finnish wood-fired hot tub for your exclusive use, where you can take a hot outdoor bath all year round. The interiors have been masterfully renovated, using stone, wood, and reclaimed materials that give the house an atmosphere of times past when country life brought families together around the large stone fireplace.
Furnishings and finishes have been tastefully chosen by the owners and encapsulate comfort and tradition. Once you arrive, you will immediately feel welcomed in a warm and hospitable environment, leaving fantastic memories of your vacation to cherish.
Pets are welcome (extra charge could be required).
GROUND FLOOR: entrance into spacious living-dining room (3 steps) with kitchenette, beautiful and ancient stone fireplace, sofas and TV. Access to a twin bedroom.
From the living room, up 3 stone steps to a large double bedroom and a bathroom with shower (no bidet).
