'We read some really bad reviews about this hotel, but we booked very late during high season, so had to take a chance. The experience was much better than we feared--definitely overall positive, even though the hotel could use a general refresh and a more varied breakfast selection. We had an issue with the AC, but the staff corrected it immediately when we asked them to switch it on from downstairs. No biggie. We liked the proximity to the beach; the room was spacious enough, with good light...
