'The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again.'

A welcome pack of wine and tasty cookies are left for you to enjoy, the cottage has a fitted kitchen with all amenities. The towels are thick and fluffy too. 'We enjoyed that we could use all facilities for free. The hostel is right at the centre of Kirkby Stephen. We popped in and out several times. The landlady very friendly, helped us find transport to our next destination. '

'Great stay for two night break on the coast to Coast trail. Staff was friendly and helpful. Friday nights are very loud with karaoke so be prepared! Food was good, but basic pub food. Breakfast had several choices and the avocado and poached egg was especially good. There's an awesome Indian restaurant called the mango tree just a few buildings down. 'Everything was clean. The modern kitchen offered everything that we needed. The living room was small but cosy with the log burner. The staff satisfied our request with a baby high chair (a travel cot was also possible but we did not need it). The only issue for us was the shower which was not very powerful.'
