Genesteld op Madrona Way, vlak bij Penn Cove, ligt dit huis direct op de weg van Penn Cove Farms, en hun heerlijke selectie mosselen, mosselen en schelpdieren. Coupeville ligt ondertussen in het zuiden, met veel restaurants en winkels om te bezoeken.

Het kan natuurlijk moeilijk zijn om de motivatie te krijgen om uit te gaan als je gewoon binnen kunt blijven en je kunt bewonderen op het uitzicht op het water. Het grote dek biedt een adembenemend uitkijkpunt om het nabijgelegen rotsachtige strand en de beukende golven van de baai te bewonderen.

Word 's ochtends wakker met wat frisse zeelucht voordat u begint met een luie dag gratis WiFi en kabel en dvd's op de flatscreen-tv. In de kuil is het tweepersoonsbed een uniek Murphy-bed - overdag is het een bureau en 's nachts verandert het in een comfortabele slaapplaats.

This property had great views looking across Penn Cove to Mt Baker and the Cascades. Birds dabbled in the water right in front of the house. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen had a lot of utensils. However, we had several issues, caused mainly by poor communication/lack of information, that detracted from our experience. A manual with instructions for working the heaters, TV, wifi, etc., would have helped greatly, but there was none. The check in email named an incorrect wifi network, necessitating a call to Vacasa. We had specifically chosen this location as the Expedia listing description stated it had cable TV. After being unable to locate the cable, we called Vacasa and was told there was no cable and furthermore the Vacasa site listing (as opposed to the Expedia listing) did not say there was cable so there was nothing they could do. Later, we discovered that the TV in the bedroom did indeed have cable, although the living room TV did not. The listed DVD player was not found though. When it was time to leave, I was unable to find check out information, other than the check out time. But after starting up the dishwasher, I found that the confirmation email, the one sent at the time we reserved the site, stated that the dishwasher did not work. There was no sign or indication in the house that it did not work. That necessitated another call to Vacasa and quickly cancelling the dishwasher cycle.

Amazing location, spotless. Had to call for checkin info; we were on bikes. so it was not convenient that the info was delayed. Also, the codes for wifi and door were SO long it made it frustrating to use. Visited by a friendly seal!

Cozy, well stocked cabin right on Penn Cove. Beautiful location. Looking for a relaxing place right on the water - this is it. Only 3 miles from Coupeville and just down the street from Captain Whidbey's Inn and Restaurant.

Baby shell beach

Really good beach for the kids. They loved finding crabs and so many baby shells. Even saw a sea otter. Only bad thing was the smoke alarm went off just turnkng the stove on so i didnt cook

Great location, great view, but beware of power outages!

The house is exactly as listed, and the view is amazing, it just needs some updating here and there (linens, dishes, etc.) It was clean, but some things could have used a little extra attention (remote had some “gunk” on it and the disposal had an odor, even though they say to not use it.) Wi-Fi is spotty, but that could be attributed to the location. Unfortunately a wind storm happened while we were there and we lost power after the first night. With no heat, no hot water, and no way to cook, we contacted the property mgr. to see if we could get even a small refund, which they promptly denied. We realize a wind storm isn’t anyone’s “fault” (including ours), but we didn’t use the showers and barely used the kitchen, and they wouldn’t even waive the cleaning fee. Something to keep in mind if you’re planning a fall/winter trip to the island.

A darling place right on the water with an amazing view! We stayed here to attend a wedding at Captain Whidbey Inn about 100 yards away so the location was perfect. A few things that weren’t so great: “Garbage disposal not for first use” Understandably, due to a sensitive septic system, they don’t want you putting food down the kitchen sink. However, a disabled disposal with a clearly marked switch that doesn’t work only adds confusion and a sink that does not drain and backs up immediately when the water runs. Maybe remove the disposal or add a sign (along with the 100 other signs/labels in the place) that makes it clear not to put food scraps down the disposal but allows renters to turn it on to clear the drain. Lots of pots and pans available but the “pantry” consists of 3 spices and no salt and pepper. If you are going to make and kind of meal, bring literally everything with you. This includes a morning cup of coffee, there is a coffee maker but no complimentary coffee as in most places we have stayed. Dishwasher does not have a utensil basket. Several light bulbs need replacing. “WiFi” is available but is intermittent, and when it is working is not string enough to update an emai inbox. Asking for a 1 hour earlier check in to get ready for the event, they responded that they could not accommodate our request to arrive “a few hours earlier”. When I responded that we would appreciate even 15 minutes earlier, no response messages until the next day.

A Nice New Years Weekend on the Water

We spent a winter weekend by the water and really enjoyed our stay. Even though it was freezing outside, the heaters kept the interior of the home warm despite the huge windows. It was a lot of fun relaxing and reading on the sofa, watching the birds on the water and the mountains in the distance. The bedroom was comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked, so we were able to prepare all our meals at the house. Our biggest problem of the weekend was that we didn't get a check-in e-mail, so we had to sit in the driveway and call the service number. Luckily it only took a few minutes to get the right code. The shower by the master bedroom has water pressure issues, but the shower on the other side of the house is just fine. Also, the electric switches that controlled the recliners in the living room didn't work. But all in all, those were our only complaints, and they were minor. We enjoyed our stay, and this is a great property for a relaxing weekend getaway.

Great location, lots of small issues

Great location right on the water. Very quiet and peaceful. Good size kitchen with everything we needed. Located close to cute little town of Coupeville, but also close to larger town of Oak Harbor with lots more restaurants and stores. But, there were lots of little things that really added up to take away from our experience. Dishwasher wasn’t working. Ran the shower in the main bedroom for about 5 minutes and the water never got hot (hot water worked in the other bathroom.) Bed is SUPER firm. Some blinds would not open. Other blinds would not come down to cover the whole window. Recliners are electric and did not work consistently. Curtains to block out light in the bedroom would be really nice for those who have trouble sleeping when it starts to get light out. Really was an amazing location, but probably would not stay here again.

WaterFRONT!

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are wanting waterfront accommodations. There’s a nice space to walk on the beach right out of your back door and any services you might need or close by and either Oak Harbor or Coupeville. Well stocked kitchen and anything else you might need.

Amazing…but also a little disappointed

The location and view were absolutely incredible. So close to the water that you felt like you were on top of it. It was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. We were just disappointed that the dishwasher and dryer didn’t work, and one of the smoke detectors (near where my kids slept) was removed from the ceiling. Also, there was an amazing deck to enjoy the view, but no furniture out there to sit on. I would love to book this property for our trip next year, and maybe every year, but would need those things to be fixed.
