There was very little to complain about with this house. On the top of a small mountain, it is about a minute walk from a beautiful view overlooking the valley below. With a hot tub, fire pit, and air hockey table, there is plenty to do in between activities.
There is more than enough sleeping space in this home. It has 5 bedrooms of varying size, and two twin beds and a futon on the third floor. Because of this, the price point is fairly high, especially on holiday weekends, but is not bad if you have enough people to fill all the beds and the price is spread among them.
The yard is huge, both front and back. There is a fire pit as well with a flower garden and terrace surrounding it. The garden was a bit overgrown, so we could only sit on half of the benches around the pit, but there was still enough room for our entire party. The overgrown garden would be my only complaint, if I had to have one. There was more than enough firewood to use for both the fire outside, as well as the wood stove inside. We even saw a few deer, and even a friendly dog from next door during our stay.
There is a tenant that lives above the garage, but we barely saw him. The times that we did see him, he was extremely nice and helpful. He told us of the nearest Walmart when we inquired about finding bathing suits. Otherwise, you barely will notice he is there.
There are activities to do in Middletown and Ellenville, both of which are ~30 minutes away. There is also plenty of outdoor activities to do, which is all in the binder they have in the living room. There is also a strip of wineries not too far away, which have cheap wine tastings.
I would recommend this to any big families/parties that would like to be in the woods on vacation.
