The First Street Guesthouse is een unieke mix van oud en nieuw. Beginnend met een historische, blokhut die deel uitmaakte van de originele Creamery van Crested Butte, is het huis architectonisch verbeterd, met het grootste deel volledig nieuw. Tijdens de bouw en renovatie heeft het gebruik van niet-toxische, natuurlijke bouwcomponenten het huis vele prestigieuze prijzen opgeleverd.

Gelegen op slechts een steenworp afstand van Elk Avenue, (de historische hoofdstraat van Crested Butte). Het First Street Guesthouse ligt verscholen in een rustige woonwijk. De begane grond komt uit op een grote entree en drie slaapkamers, twee met queensize bedden en toegang tot buitenpatio's. De derde slaapkamer heeft een twin / uitschuifbed. Alle beschikken over gezellige donzen dekbedden. De grote badkamer op dit niveau biedt een weelderige, diepe, Japanse, bubbelbad en een extra grote marmeren stoomdouche. In de buurt is een handige wasmachine en droger.

Het bovenste niveau, met een adembenemend uitzicht op bergen in alle richtingen, heeft een gastronomische keuken met spekstenen aanrechtbladen en roestvrij apparaten. Het stroomt openlijk uit in een eet- / verzamelbar, eet- en woonruimtes, allemaal omgeven door gewelfde plafonds. Ook op dit niveau zijn een half bad en een gezellige den met futon voor overloop slaapruimte.

Buiten is er een kleine tuin voor kinderen en zelfs een hondenvriend. Houd er rekening mee dat de tuin niet is omheind. Binnen en buiten is het huis zorgvuldig onderhouden en biedt het meer dan alleen een huiselijke, comfortabele vakantieomgeving. De eigenaren, 15 jaar ingezetenen van Crested Butte, werken hard om haar gasten een onvergetelijk verblijf te bezorgen.

De winkels en restaurants van Elk Avenue liggen in de buurt. De gratis pendelbus van de stad is iets meer dan een blok verderop. Wandel- en nordic trails zijn zelfs nog dichterbij! Vanwege de ideale locatie van First Street Guesthouse is een auto niet nodig; alles is op loopafstand, ongeacht het seizoen.

The property manager was so easy to communicate with, helpful, and flexible. The location of the property was perfect with close proximity to town and ski lifts. My family had a great trip and would definitely recommend this home to any family wanting to stay in Crested Butte!

We loved our stay. The house is so cozy and had everything we needed. (I especially loved the steam shower.) It's also the ideal location - quiet but very close to the bus and all the great restaurants and bars. The only caveat is that the floors aren't insultated so sound carries between downstairs and upstairs. It wasn't an issue for our toddler but we were very mindful after bedtime.

This CB cottage is in a great location, around the corner from Elk Street but private and quiet enough. There is easy parking for one car and a second could have worked. The house is stocked with plenty of nice sheets and towels. The kitchen is large and well stocked and the owner is quick and thorough with communication. The house is CB cozy versus fancy. The upstairs living/dining/kitchen is well lit, spacious and comfortable. The three lower bedrooms are comfortable. They share the one full bathroom which has a shower plus quirky bathtub. We brought out dogs, naively planning for them to spend some time in the fenced yard. In the winter, the yard is inaccessible because it is full of snow. It would be great in the summer.

Great location on a quiet street just off Elk. We were able to hike right from the house to the woods walk, which was amazing. And we were also able to walk to Camp 4, Bonez, Stash within about 5 minutes. The house was spotless when we arrived. The courtyard isn't fenced in any longer, but we parked our cars so that it was still a private space that would essentially contain the pups. Also a note, the futon is no longer in the upstairs den, there are two wing back chairs. Would highly recommend!

This home was perfect for our trip to Crested Butte! Everything was clean and organized and the kitchen was great to cook in. The location was perfect for us to walk to shops and restaurants with young children. The farmer’s market was just steps away! Truly a perfect vacation rental!!

This is a beautiful old house that has been renovated. The kitchen is really well stocked and the upstairs provides a great space for the family to get together. Not a good property for small children (steep stairs--although they do have a child gate). We had a fabulous time.

My husband and I stayed here for a week before Christmas. The location is excellent - we were steps away from the shops, restaurants and x-country ski trails. The home is so warm, quiet and well-appointed - especially the kitchen. I really cannot think of anything more that the host could have provided to make our trip more pleasant. We had a wonderful stay!

You can't ask for a better location in Crested Butte. The property is located at the end of Elk Avenue, the main street in town. It's easy walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, town park and hiking trails. If you want to stay in town, I would highly recommend this property.

Unique property that sits right in the heart of Crested Butte! We spent a week before New Years skiing and enjoying everything that Crested Butte has to offer; this property was the perfect place to do that! We've been to Crested Butte many times but never stayed in town and the 3 bedrooms offer plenty of space to accomodate a family of 4 with adult children and our doggo. The rooms are well apportioned, good beds and the updstairs / downstairs layout lets you enjoy each other's company but escape if you need some alone time. With that siad, this place is best for being together! The kitchen is fully appointed and has everything you need to make spectacular meals, even down to the seasoned 12 inch cast iron skillet to fry up bacon and scrambled eggs every morning. When we didn't want to cook, we were able to walk to pick-up food with plenty of excellent choices within a 4 minute walk. We didn't experience any street noise as it's at the top end of Elk Avenue far away from the busier area of the street and there was minimal street traffic; we were there during peak season so I expect its the same way the rest of the year. It's a short drive to the mountain (7 minutes) or you can take the local bus with a stop close by. If you want to cross country ski, the Nordic Center is less than 1 minute away and trail head / parking for the miles of cross country trails is 3 minutes away. It's a great place to create memories!

My family and I stayed for a week and the location was perfectly located at the end of Elk Ave for shopping and dining. It was only a 7 minute drive to the slopes. The house was very clean and was supplied with everything we needed to cook meals at home. Elizabeth was great to work with and very responsive.

My family of four just spent an excellent week in CB at the 1st Street Guesthouse. This is such a charming place, very conveniently located to everything in central CB. Elizabeth was a wonderful, accommodating host. Only downside was no designated parking space, but it was not a big issue for us. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was perfect for our family of 4. We each had a bedroom and rarely showered at the same time so only having one full bath was not much of an issue. The kitchen was well supplied so we could cook meals at the house. We loved being right off of Elk Ave but on the quiet end so there was not a lot of noise at night. I will say the only negative is having the bedrooms below the living area. If you go to bed while people are still upstairs you can hear every move they make and word they say. A sound machine helped. Overall it's a nice house in a superb location!
