  • De locatie van het Axtel-complex wordt er niet beter op, aan de voet van de Silver Queen-lift op Mount Crested Butte. Geniet van extra voorzieningen, zoals gratis wifi en een gemeenschappelijk bubbelbad in de buitenlucht om de activiteit van het basisgebied te observeren. Parkeren voor 1 op het terrein, overloop parkeerplaatsen beschikbaar voor 1 extra voertuig indien nodig.

    Dit appartement met 1 slaapkamer en 1 complete badkamer ligt aan de kant van de Silver Queen-lift op de tweede verdieping. U vindt de woonkamer gezellig met een openhaard (wij geven de voorkeur aan duralogs) en een flatscreen-tv. Quaint keuken met bijgewerkte aanrechtbladen, roestvrijstalen apparaten en volledig uitgerust. Een kleine eethoek bevindt zich net naast de keuken en biedt plaats aan twee personen om te genieten van een lekkere maaltijd. Extra zitplaatsen voor 2 meer gelegen aan de keuken ontbijtbar. Ruime slaapkamer met een kingsize bed en een flatscreen-tv. Deze accommodatie beschikt over twee balkons, een woonkamer die uitkijkt op de activiteit van het basisgebied en nog een extra op de hoofdslaapkamer die naar het zuidoosten kijkt richting de bergen Axtel en Red Lady. Gestapelde wasmachine en droger gelegen in de gangkast. Parkeren voor 1 op het terrein, overloop parkeerplaatsen beschikbaar voor 1 extra voertuig indien nodig.

    De GRATIS Mountain Express-pendeldienst rijdt het hele jaar door voor vervoer van en naar de stad Crested Butte en de omliggende gebieden. Axtel ligt op korte loopafstand van het belangrijkste transitcentrum. Het zomerschema loopt elke 20 minuten; winterplanning wordt elke 15 minuten uitgevoerd; schouder seizoenen elke 40 minuten.

    Crested Butte Lodging & Property Management biedt aanvullende diensten voor onze gasten die anderen misschien niet hebben. Bij aankomst ziet u dat wij alle linnengoed, handdoeken en papieren goederen leveren. We stayed for a week in July celebrating our 40th anniversary and to enjoy a cooler and dryer climate. It was lovely! Our VRBO was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed a couple of the board games and the cross wind between the two balconies. It was comfortable and clean and supplied with all we needed.

Great location. Access from parking to the unit was challenging with lots of stairs to navigate with luggage. Bed room window which opens toward parking lot did not have window coverings which is a major issue. The ski in ski-out location is awesome.

Great place, on the slope, clean and comfortable. We did not receive the check-in instructions until we called and the room lacked coffee (only decaf)and cups(only lips), so the first morning was rough. They need an elevator too.

Great place to stay, not the easiest to get your stuff to

This room is great and literally overlooks the lifts at the base of the mountain. The only down side is that the trek from the parking lot to the room is somewhat difficult. The building faces the slopes and has no way to reach the parking lot from the room without walking all the way around down / uphill. Besides that it was great!

Bring a suitcase you can carry upstairs and across the snow because this unit is right at the chair lift! So convenient for taking a break during lunch. Recommend bringing an extra blanket/bedding to keep extra warm during cold nights. Only basics are provided.

The only downside for us was you could hear the people upstairs walking around, chairs scooting on the floor and when they used the shower or toilet you could hear it our unit. Not sure we would stay in this unit again because of the noise. This was the first time we had stayed in the Axtell building. We have stayed in other condos on the mountain that are not as noisy The kitchen had everything we needed

It was a nice little room for just my husband and I, just didn’t love having to park in a different parking lot because of the construction crew that was outside all of the days we were in town. Not very quiet. Lol.

The Kitchen is small but functional, most all utensils you need. The bathroom is OK. Bed/mattress was better then expected. Living room is good and couch is decent shape. WiFi is fair to OK; Need to invest in sliding glass doors, probably the original doors and very hard to open. Being summer, not a lot of good restaurant options nearby.

The only complaint I have is that everytime the toilet was flushed it looked like it was going to overflow. I called maintenance who came and stated that it was not the plumbing but the toilet is very old and not water efficient. In this day of being energy efficient, it's a real shame that so much water is being wasted.

Location was steps from the lift and close to several restaurants and bars. Only complaint was property management. Sent message that we arrived 1 HOUR EARLY, no reply. Called and person was so rude. She had no idea if the unit was clean and available (1 hour early). Apparently it was an inconvenience for her to even call me back. Then I had to call again to ask about the hot tub code - rude again - said its in the email we sent with instructions. Email wasn't sent until after check in time.

Can’t top the location for skiing

Stayed as a family of 4 with two younger kids and were cozy but comfortable. Literally walk out your door to the two main base lifts.

Great location

Access to the property is poor at best. There is no access from the west side parking lot to the east side stair wells without using the neighboring buildings staircase and carrying your luggage through the snow about 40 yards. Unloading and loading the vehicle should not be this difficult or time consuming given the checkin is 4pm or later. The condo itself is comfortable and perfectly located at the ski lift. Well appointed and has all the necessary items for a pleasant stay.
